(Note: Just to be annoying, Dante is ready to die and be sent to the throne of heroes.)
Leaving the session, I wandered aimlessly for a while, thinking about what had happened.
No god is a weak being; everything has powers or a way of being powerful in its own way, but if I had to think of an Egyptian god I'd have to fight, only two come to mind, and one of them, if I'm not mistaken, should already be dead.
If I faced a being like Amun-Ra, I would definitely die, but I don't think he'd fight; he prefers to play with Apophis.
"Hey," I heard someone call, only to see Artemis in a corner watching me and gesturing for me to follow her.
After walking in silence for a while, we arrived at a lake in Anakosmos; she sat down and I sat down somewhere a little further away.
"Why so far away? I want to talk to you; at that distance, I'm going to have to shout," she said. I didn't think much and sat down on the same log she was on.
"I thought you couldn't stand the presence of men," I joked.
"I've been more than used to yours for a long time," she said, only to fall silent for a moment. "I don't know what they were all thinking back there, sacrificing you for something so stupid."
That surprised me a little; it was as if the moon goddess had grown fond of me. I just smiled at her, which she noticed, and she blushed slightly, looking away.
"Don't worry, I'm stronger than you think," I tried to reassure her.
"Gods cannot be defeated, not in the normal way at least; we have always been beyond normal power," she replied.
If only she knew.
"Are you worried about me?" I said mockingly.
"What are you talking about, you idiot? That's not the point; I'm worried about Libra, Kiss-shot, Hestia, and Persephone. They'll suffer if you die in that fight; if only it weren't a fight to the death," she tried to contradict me, blushing like a tsundere.
"Don't worry about Kiss-shot. If I die, she dies too, and vice versa. "That unsettled Artemis a little. "But like I said, don't worry. I'm like a spoon; I can withstand and survive anything. Just relax," I said, standing up and approaching her.
She didn't say anything, just stood there staring, and I had no idea what she was thinking.
The next day, I went to the island of the three demon sisters; at least, as Hestia said, two were malevolent demons and the youngest, a succubus; obviously, all of this was in a joking context.
It took me a while to find Medusa, but I finally found her at the edge of the island, gazing out to sea.
"I finally found you. Why were you hiding so much?" I asked, sitting down beside her.
"I'm just thinking," she said calmly.
Since my relationship with her became official, she stopped acting so adolescent, if you could put it that way, and started being a little more mature and serious, a bit like the version I knew from the anime and games, but only a little.
I hugged her, and she took the opportunity to rest her head on my shoulder. We remained in a very comforting silence, which was broken by Medusa.
"Does she have to?" she asked me.
I immediately understood why she was like this.
"Yes, it's part of my duty," I replied.
"It's unfair. I haven't been able to be with you for very long, and now it's very possible they'll take me away," she said, looking into my eyes.
I simply held her face and began to fix her hair.
"You worry too much; no matter what happens, I'll survive and come back to you," I told her.
She calmed down because, unlike Artemis, she trusted me completely. Yes, I said I would return; she knew I would.
As we gazed into each other's eyes, our faces drew closer, and we shared a passionate kiss, only separating when we were too breathless to wake up.
"Dante, would you do me a favor?" Medusa asked.
"I would do anything for you," I replied.
"Make me completely yours," she whispered in my ear.
That surprised me and ignited something inside me. I watched as she pulled away, only to remove her dress and stand completely naked.
I only had to see her eyes, full of love and devotion, to make up my mind without much thought.
I quickly moved closer and kissed her passionately. I began to touch her body; it was otherworldly. I couldn't say which was better, Kiss-Shot or her, but right now I'm not in the mood to compare women; that would be wrong of me.
Without thinking, I turned her around; let me see her beautiful backside and ass. I bent her over and crouched down to see her pure, pink pussy.
This was Medusa's first time, so I couldn't just come in and act like a jerk, so I brought my face close and began to lick it. This started to cause spasms and moans from Medusa.
After about five minutes like that, I pulled away and inserted my fingers to get her wet. I only inserted two fingers.
After this foreplay, I slowly inserted my penis into her vagina. I could hear Medusa's moans; she could barely breathe, so I started slowly. I saw blood trickling from her inner thighs, proving my dominance.
"I'm fine, keep going," she told me, and without hesitation, I slowly began thrusting into her. As I increased the speed of my thrusts, I embraced her and began playing with her nipples; she turned her head, and we began to fight with our tongues.
"I didn't think you were really a succubus," I said playfully as I tried to squeeze her nipples.
"Shut up and get on with your work," she retorted, beginning to moan louder.
Third-person POV.
The two lovers were performing a ritual of union, oblivious to their surroundings. They were so absorbed in their own lovemaking that they didn't notice a presence watching them from afar.
At a safe distance stood Athena, consumed by jealousy and a murderous rage as she watched Medusa and Dante having sex.
She wanted to intervene, but she had no reason to, and right now, she didn't want to further alienate her beloved. She could only torture herself by watching the two of them together, trying to imagine herself in Medusa's position; it was the only thing that could calm her, even just a little.
...
In the end, the three days passed before the fight was confirmed. Thoth returned, confirming it, but without revealing who would fight, something we also did.
The fight would take place the following day in an area some distance from Crisa, an abandoned place that could easily be destroyed without much consequence.
Dante used the day to train and stretch a bit alongside Kiss-shot, since, being a single, united soul, she could also participate, making it a legal loophole.
After the time had passed, all the gods gathered to watch the fight in Anakosmos; this was because they all knew Dante and understood his duty; practically all of them supported him; there were few gods who saw this with the intention of seeing him fall in the fight.
Hecate, with her magic, began to broadcast the location where the fight would take place. Two beings could be seen there: Dante and Hermes.
"Let me tell you this, I admire you greatly," Hermes said, wiping away a tear.
"Why are you acting as if he's going to die in battle?" Dante retorted.
"Isn't that so?" he said innocently, just patting Dante on the back. "Relax, it's a joke. He has a chance of surviving if he's a weak god."
But Dante knew that wouldn't be the case, and he was right. Amidst the heavens, the sound of a being traveling at full speed was heard, as if it were being torn apart by a being traveling at top speed, only for a god, who seemed to be part of the heavens themselves, to suddenly stop.
His golden wings were outstretched, demonstrating his glory and grandeur.
Hermes opened and closed his mouth, for the power and divinity of this god could be felt.
"Here before you stands Horus, god of the heavens, king of Egypt, ruler of the Egyptian gods," said the one now recognized as Horus.
Dante realized he felt a little weaker than he should in the presence of this Egyptian god.
This was due to his authority, which stood against chaotic or destructive demonic entities after his victory in the battle against Sett. Essentially, that's what Dante, as an entity of the void, represents.
"Good luck," Hermes said, practically teleporting away, leaving Dante and Horus alone.
Dante coughed slightly to clear his throat.
"I'm Dante, son of Chaos, supposedly," he said, almost whispering the last part, but he needed to intimidate his opponent; that's why he said it. "Protector of the entrance to Olympus, the reincarnation of the Greek concept of emptiness."
"I see. I thought I'd be facing a god, but they pitted me against a demon. I see you underestimate me," he said, a smile playing on his lips.
Dante didn't know why he'd been identified as a demon, but he must have sensed something within him to say that; perhaps he'd even glimpsed Kiss-shot herself, who was currently hidden in his shadow.
"I admit I was raised in the underworld, but I don't believe I'm a demon per se," Dante said.
"That doesn't matter. What interests me is defeating you so I can forge an alliance to suppress that arrogant god who's invading my territory," Horus declared.
"I see, but that's going to cost you a bit," said Dante, to which Horus simply dismissed him with a look. Dante merely crouched down slightly and vanished from his position. Horus opened his eyes only to feel the sky shift; he raised his arms only to feel a force that sent him crashing to the ground. "I'm not as weak as you think, arrogant god."
The moment Dante hit the ground, he summoned the Buster Sword and positioned himself ready to fight. Horus, on the other hand, simply stood and brushed the dust and dirt off his body.
"Not bad, but not enough to harm a god like me," Horus said, which only made Dante snort.
Dante launched an energy slash at his opponent, but he didn't move, as the sky warped and several air slashes attacked the attack, destroying it and preventing it from reaching the god.
Horus is the god of the sky; by default, he can attack using the sky itself as a weapon. Since air exists in the sky, he can manipulate it in various ways to attack.
The god bent his knees, extended his hands forward, forming a ball of air in each, and launched them at Dante, creating vortices of force.
Dante decided to cut through the air, repelling much of the damage, but he still had to be forced out of the air by the wind pressure, which made it difficult for him to even breathe. As he was airborne, he felt a force, like a hand, slam him to the ground with tremendous power.
The moment our protagonist got up, he saw a punch heading straight for his face, which he managed to block in time with his sword, now coated in Haki.
The blow dragged him about 8 meters away from where he was standing. Horus simply smiled at this, and using his speed, he quickly reached his opponent.
Dante decided to go on the defensive, blocking all of Horus's blows, which slightly annoyed the god, causing him to increase his power even further, boosting his strength and attack.
His fighting style has always been based on speed, but that's not always possible, so he tends to analyze his opponent's fighting style, constantly looking for openings and potential weaknesses in their attack patterns.
Seeing how erratic Horus had become, I guided Dante to find an opening, and using Armament Haki, he performed a vertical slash.
The god blocked the attack with his forearms, only to realize that Dante's attack power had increased considerably.
"Ha, still not enough," he said, attempting a kick only to miss.
Dante stepped back from Horus to coat his fingers with the fruit of darkness. Seeing this, the god narrowed his eyes, somewhat reminded of Sett, a dark and malevolent god; at least, that's how he saw him.
After all, the actions of the gods can be good for some and bad for others, depending on who benefits from them.
Horus quickly noticed the singularities forming around him. These, instead of absorbing, simply stood there, doing nothing.
Just as he was about to destroy a site, he struck it hard with his sword, being thrown a short distance.
Dante was at the point of impact, but it made no sense to Horus, since if he had been moving with the air currents, he would have felt it immediately, but he hadn't.
The god opened his eyes as he saw his opponent being absorbed by a point similar to the others, only this one had the unique ability to absorb, but it only absorbed Dante.
With his vision, he saw Dante appear in one of the singularities as if emerging from a vortex.
He only managed to block the blow with his arm, which was more painful than he had anticipated.
Dante began teleporting from different singularities to try and strike the god. Horus wasn't injured, but he could feel the pain.
In other words, Dante's simple attacks couldn't penetrate the god's defense, but they could damage him internally.
Horus decided to use another technique to escape all of this. Multiple rays of sunlight appeared from the sky, destroying all the singularities.
This stopped Dante in his tracks.
"This is the authority of the sun, granted to me and recognized by Ra as the current king of Egypt," he said joyfully.
This ability is something only a pharaoh or recognized king of modern Egypt can use, as they are recognized as descendants of the first pharaoh, Ra himself, before he became Amun-Ra.
In the singularity of Camelot, Ozymadias was recognized as pharaoh; therefore, he did not possess Ra's ability and authority, since there could only be one pharaoh.
Multiple beams of sunlight were directed at Dante. He was only able to dodge them quickly using soru.
Dante was in a bit of a bind; he couldn't just walk in the sky, as he would be attacked immediately, and his opponent had already described a way to counter one of his best abilities.
"There's no other option but to go the old-fashioned way," Dante said, transforming into his hybrid form.
This caught the god's attention, as he hadn't known Dante possessed any other authority; after all, his opponent held multiple concepts within him, none of which had been bestowed upon him by a divine or primordial being.
Suddenly, Horus felt the sound barrier shatter and felt a sharp pain throughout his torso before being flung away at great speed.
All the gods were astonished by Dante's incredible speed, which had allowed him to take a god, renowned for his exceptional vision, by surprise.
Dante had used all his physical strength in his legs, along with Haki and magic, to increase his speed and power.
Dante slammed into the ground, causing the island's surface to shift and change. Several earthen walls appeared in Horus's path, forcing him to crash and slowing him to a stop.
The moment he stopped, a dome of earth enveloped him, leaving only a hole through which to enter and exit.
Dante had created a rapid summoning circle, which he then infused with his magical energy to activate it.
"Appear, Nova," he said, and from the magic circle emerged a magnificent phoenix, approximately 5 meters tall. Using Hestia's authority, I will allow the phoenix to wield the eternal sacred flames; this is also due to their connection, which facilitates their bond and subsequent use.
Nova, enveloped in the eternal flames, attacks the dome, within which Horus is trapped, causing it to explode and unleash the eternal fire of Greece.
Once the attack was over, Nova disappeared, waiting to be summoned again by its summoner.
Dante walked slowly to avoid being burned by the fire, only to hear Horus's heart-wrenching scream as he was engulfed in flames.
A figure was seen flying swiftly to plunge into the water, but to his horror, the fire continued to consume its body.
In desperation, he began to tear off the parts of his body that were still burning. Finally, he saw him: a god with half his body burned and the other half covered in blood like liquid gold.
Dante squinted as he watched the god heal rapidly in the sky. In less than two minutes, he was completely healed.
"If only he had stayed on the ground," Dante lamented, as he didn't like to let his opponents heal or prepare for his next attack.
Horus looked at Dante with his eyes.
"This is my mistake; not being a god, I underestimated you, but you were sent, so you must have had something that made you strong," he began to rant. "But I won't hold back anymore; I'll go all out, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!" the god yelled the last part furiously, unleashing multiple attacks of lightning and wind in Dante's direction.
A huge explosion erupted, only for nothing to remain when the dust settled.
He felt himself being pulled away from a part of the island, but he wasn't the only one; everything in his direction was being absorbed, and at the center, Dante was there, his hand completely shrouded in darkness and with several cuts on his body.
Horus didn't think twice and unleashed several air slashes. This managed to stop Dante's attack, but what he wanted was to pull him away from the sea.
From Dante's foot a thread of darkness began to emerge, which ended above Horus, and from there everything absorbed by the darkness came back out into the darkness.
This attack momentarily disrupted Horus's pursuit, but it did no damage whatsoever.
The moment the attack ended, Horus realized Dante was no longer in position, only to be met with a punch that sent him crashing to the ground again.
The Egyptian god leaped back into the sky, a safe haven for him, only to glare furiously at his opponent.
Horus's body began to glow and grow slightly larger, reaching a height of approximately 2.5 meters. His body was encased in golden armor, and his head transformed into that of a falcon, adorned with metallic golden wings.
At that moment, Horus opened his mouth, which made Dante tense, anticipating the next attack, only to nearly fall over upon hearing the following sound.
"Kik-kik-kik," it was literally the cry of a falcon. This completely shattered the tense atmosphere. "Forgive me, it's been a while since I transformed like this," the god said.
"Yeah, don't worry, it happens to everyone," I said with a crooked smile, Dante.
"Thank you for understanding. Let's continue our fight to the death," the god declared, creating several steel feathers that shot from his back and were launched at Dante.
In response, Dante transformed into his full form, summoning several swords that intercepted the feathers.
In the midst of this attack, they both charged at each other, creating an explosion of gold and chaos.
