Valer rubbed his forehead indignantly, but he wisely decided not to argue with his sister.
Eugenia continued,
"This year, the developers introduced a new system in which the resources allocated to each player depend on their blood compatibility. The higher your compatibility, the better the resources you receive."
She glanced at Valer with exasperation and helplessness before continuing.
"As it happens, this guy has relatively high blood compatibility, so under the new system, he should have received enough resources to gain a considerable advantage over most of the other students. However, the developers also wanted to give everyone a fair opportunity to compete. Therefore, they introduced a partnership system that allows players to team up with high-level players from their own server."
Ivy listened attentively, beginning to understand why the new rules had created so much trouble for Valer.
Eugenia sighed before explaining the final part of the problem.
