When Daniel finally put everything together, he took a deep breath.
This floor was never meant to be cleared by killing monsters. It was not meant to be cleared by enduring longer, or even by becoming stronger. He had finally realized that from the very beginning, there had been no real enemies here at all.
Until now, he had been seeing the monsters as enemies, but he had been wrong the entire time. These monsters were not enemies. They were nothing more than distractions, distractions meant to pull his attention away from the true objective of this floor.
Contrary to what he had believed, this floor was not about combat at all. It was about testing him. It wanted to see whether he had truly understood anything from the previous floors or not.
Daniel slowly raised his head. His eyes locked onto the massive timer floating above the endless space. If his guess was correct, there was only one way to clear this floor and complete its trial.
