"…I overstretched," Boo muttered weakly, his head hanging. "I got too ambitious."
Luna immediately burst into laughter, the sound echoing off the walls.
Felix shook his head with the weariness of someone who had seen too much. "This is why ghosts should not attempt physical fitness. Some activities are off-limits for the incorporeal."
Kelpie giggled, water droplets spraying everywhere.
Rocky rushed toward Alina, his small stone feet pattering against the floor. "Teacher, are you okay? Are you hurt? Did Boo damage you?"
Alina adjusted her hair, smoothing her dress, and then looked at Boo with a mixture of exasperation and deep, undeniable amusement.
"I leave you alone for one meeting," she said slowly, drawing out each word. "One meeting. And you inflate."
Boo lowered his head dramatically, his body drooping. "I was participating. I just wanted to be part of stretching time."
