Gabriel's body swayed, and with a rapid series of steps, several overlapping afterimages appeared along his path.
The enormous goblin's pupils contracted sharply.
"Petty tricks!" It roared, sweeping its spear horizontally toward the figure approaching from the front.
However, the spearhead passed through a fading afterimage.
The real Gabriel had already slipped to its right, moving directly toward its spear arm.
Crimson Judgement's crimson engravings flickered as mana flowed through the heavy blade.
Slash!
BOOM!
The greatsword struck the spear shaft near the goblin's right hand, instantly interrupting the corrupting power it had been gathering. The impact left its entire arm numb.
Before it could regain a firm grip on its weapon, Gabriel had already adjusted his position.
This time, he didn't attack the spear.
Instead, he aimed directly at the right arm holding it.
Splurt!
Blood sprayed through the air, and the enormous goblin let out an agonized roar.
