"ATTACK!!!!!!"
Gabriel's roar shattered the brief silence like thunder, and it was as if a dam had broken.
The one thousand men of Broken Dawn surged forward as one, their earlier restraint completely gone. Boots slammed against the earth, weapons were raised, and battle cries tore through the night. The fear that once weighed on them was nowhere to be found. In its place was raw excitement, reckless courage, and absolute trust in the man leading them.
The enemy convoy, already thrown into disarray by the destruction of their front line, barely had time to react before Broken Dawn crashed into them.
Gunfire erupted from the remaining vehicles, bullets tearing through the air in wild sprays, but the formation was already broken. Soldiers leapt from burning trucks, some screaming, some trying to regroup, others frozen in place as they stared at the devastation before them.
That was when Scarlet moved.
She did not rush forward blindly like the others. Instead, she walked.
