Inside the Maddle house, Korra clenched her own hands, feeling how the air-conditioning was going through all the house, she sighed calmly almost relieved, which, she was, the flat hada cozy side, with the color green being the one who covered mostly of it. The flat was noticeble owned by someone on a good financial position, with many golden trinkets with only the main hall.
The three members of the hares followed close behind the old gentleman, ending up on what it seemed a common living room for someone who has the status of the Maddle family. With a quick hand movement, Korra showed the two men to stay behind and guard the door while they had a little talk.
The living room, as mentioned earlier, was pretty simple, mantaining the main green color which seems that the whole flat keeps, two couches that seemed slightly old, but at the same time they gave the house a refined and roustic appearance to the house. Like as if he was a member of a blue blooded family.
Mr. Maddle with a light yawn sat on one of the two couches as he brushed his eyes seemingly tired, as so, Korra sat on the sofa in front of him.
"Well, would you mind and share me how do you intend on helping me?" Mr. Maddle asked, still unsure on Korra's identity.
Korra nodded as with a wrist flick and a snap of fingers, a huge area was covered by what it seemed a barrier.
"This way no one will interrupt us." Korra said as she got even confier in the couch.
Mr. Maddle didn't seem to be surprised by the sudden display, only muttering what it seemed an affirmation.
"A Linker?" he said as he brushed his moustache.
"I suppose that the you two ''friends'' are the same as you" he said as he sighed
"And I'll also take my chances and guess you're some sort of guild leader" he said almosty yawning.
In most of the cases, Korra would have taken this as a way on dissrespecting him, but surprisingly, Korra seemed as calm as ever.
"Your son went missing a few months ago, am I right?"
As she said that, the face of the old gentleman changed with a mix of anger, surprise, and confussion.
Back in the hospital room.
"Your dad and I used to be friends, though he would probabbly say that we were only mates. He was surprisingly strong, and for his age at those times, he also was extremely strong." Mergo was left speechless as he heard what Nail was talking about , Gaia on the doorframe was extremely surprised, barging inside the room.
"He? That Work obsessed freak that didn't even care about his own son being hospitalized?"
Both Gaia and Mergo had grown feeling how their own dad didn't even care about them, the fact that the first they got to know more about their dad was coming from someone else and not their dad, enraged her.
Mergo still as speechless couldn't do anything but close his eyes. The voices coming from his sister and from his master started sounding difuse, as he slowly opened his eyes, he found himself back inside that dream.
Korra looked at Mr. Maddle as his face, she was happy, putting someone arrogant in his place was something she loved to do.
"That's a family matter which you shouldnt get involved, madame, and I recommend you very wisely to choose the next words you will say." Mr maddle sounded mad, as at the same time his words resounded around the room.
Korra smiled as she crossed her legs.
"I should introduce myself, Mr. Maddle. My name is Korra and im the current leader of the Hares, or "The explorers" whatever name you find more fitting, I do suppose you know about me, I was capable to see that you have some of my books in your shelfs." She said as she pointed at the bookshelf in the corner of the room.
Maddle's face changed on a general form, from anger, his face went to a complete expression of surprise. Korra was known as a celebrety in general, one of the main researchers inside the reflection of the world, with books as simple as how living beings are affected to mother mirrors to something as how the "darkness" flowed around the different enviorments.
"I am indeed surprised that you, madame are here, but that doesn't changes that you seem to know something about my son, which I would apreciate it if you could tell me." The father said as his whole demeanor changed treating the girl infront of her with a new found respect.
"Know about it? No, no I rescued him, but there's also bad news. Your son was infected with darkness, we did what we could, but to save his life we had to wipe his memory.
Mr. Maddle's hands started shaking as he helt on to the couch, he felt as his heart was racing, of course it wasnt all roses but knowing his son was still alive, was enough for him, memories come and go, thats something that happens to the elder and the kids, but being able to form new memories while we could, was a reassurance that he had.
"This is... Something I don't know how will I be able to repay, but please, know that from now on, the Maddle family will support the hares as they can."
Korra smiled inwardly, even though she was trying to act modest, getting more help, was one of the main points of why she came herself to inform the family head of the Maddles about the new finding of their son.
"Please, you do not need to do so, though we would apreciate it but in a not too far future we will ask for a favor, of course, if we can." Said Korra as she smiled politely.
"Of course!" the old man said.
"Ah, before we bring the kid back, wouldn't you mind telling us all the information about the dissapearance of the kid?" Said Korra as she leaned forward.
