The light of the morning sun shone from the skies of the world of wondrous creatures called Pokemon; its yellow glow hit trees, rocks, the soil, oceans, and rivers, as well as Pokemons, revealing their colorful shades. In one of the regions of such a beautiful world, specifically named Kanto, in one of its Towns called Pallet, is the lab of the research center headed by one of the pioneers of modern Pokemon training, and in such a lab, a rented stage and a sound system can be seen.
In the stage are 4 people, two adults and one boy whilst below the stage are other 6 kids and their parents clapping whilst the boy is holding a certificate in his right hand while a book is in his left hand which is opened on a certain page with a research called 'Noise Pollution and Normal-type Pokemon Biodiversity in Fuchsia City', under the big title is the smaller names of the authors 'Anthony Dover' and 'Mary Hane'.
On the side of the stage is a podium with a research assistant holding a mic.
"Dover Anthony, the son of Hana and Ben Dover, completer, and the main author of the research paper: Noise Pollution and Normal-type Pokemon Biodiversity in Fuchsia City."
After the research assistant said the name of Anthony, the small crowd of 6 interns, a pair of their parents each, and some friends clapped while a photographer snapped some pictures of the family before the Dover family stepped down from the stage.
It has been exactly a month and a week since the 'Pranking with Ghastly' activity commenced. During that span of time, Anthony needs to change location a single time since Nurse Joy can only put on the lid about the intentional haunting of a Ghost type in a public establishment for how long, so he can only change location to a more secluded place. While the yield of negative emotion energy it has is not as much as the first one, it was still yielding something nonetheless.
In this span of time, he was also able to see the charm and uniqueness of training a Ghost-type. However, since he wanted to be a researcher and a trainer at the same time and he doesn't have the same genius in training them as Elite 4 Agatha who was able to become an Elite 4 with Ghost types as her main type in an age where all her dicoveries are yet to be discovered up until this day, he felt like it would be too taxing for him, so he's rather not inclined on catching one.
Of course, during this time, he was also able to train Miltank more who was now given the task to do full sprints every morning instead of jogging with additional weight training as per the permission and recomendation of a research assisstant who's specializing in weight training science, for the sake of training, the strap of Zubat with slabs of weight returned, now with double the weight, after all, Zubat can now fly long distances, so such a thing is for it to feel more challenge in the act of flying. This resulted in an increase in muscle mass and stamina for both his Pokemons, which Anthony is quite proud of.
As Anthony and his parents went and parted ways to go on their respective sides of the audience, it was now the time of Mary Hane and her parents to go up. Anthony and his friends, Mary and Andrew, were actually beside each other, so the two boys tapped both the shoulders of Mary before pushing her up to meet her parents.
Because of the small number of certified interns, the main event of the ceremony is just about 1 and a half hours long, with the rankings, grading, and the top 1 speech being omitted. It does feel like graduation, with the difference that one still needs to pass an exam and become a trainer in order to truly 'graduate' from the program.
Other than that, life during this span is uneventful, with occasional news about the capture of different Team Rocket bases, with abandoned evidence of their cruelty against Pokemons and their transactions on producing and smuggling counterfeit scientists-only products, among many other heinous crimes.
After everyone got their certificate with a smile of satisfaction as well as slight tears of joy in their eyes, the Pokemons on their side started to cry once again and hug their Pokemon friends, as they would surely not see each other for a long time. Anthony, who seemed to have his tear ducts metaphorically paralyzed as he couldn't cry, estimated that they would probably see each other after 3 years at the breeder's exam if they really made it happen.
In the middle of the tears of joy and goodbyes, the footsteps of the Pokémon Professor of the Kanto Region, Prof. Samuel Oak, were heard as he now took the stage for his ending speech. For the record, it was the mom and dad of Anthony (AKA the most famous people besides Prof. Oak that will attend the ceremony) who made the entrance speech.
"Good morning, everyone. Today we celebrate the sucessful internship of our newest batch of associate field researchers interns of this tomoltous year. Despite all of the shortcomings of the lab in protecting the well-being of your children, all of you still choose to trust us and finish this course, for that, I thank you. And while all of you combined just barely scraped 30 in number, I still want to promise all of you that the incident involving the attempted kidnapping of Mr. Anthony Dover wil never happen again."
After the (somehow) trademarked momentary pause of Prof. Oak, Anthony could see his mom and dad nodding silently without saying anything, and while his parents did, the gates at the back of the stage where Prof. Oak was in suddenly opened before several carts and tables with smoking hot foods were pushed by several men and women in butler's attire: a black vest with white polo underneath.
This made all the students' and parents' eyes light up; Anthony could hear a silent yet resounding 'woah...' sound.
"And while most of you here just allowed your sons and daughters to be here because you value their independence that has to be fostered before being full-pledged Pokemon trainers, I still wanted to thank you in behalf of the whole main Pokemon research lab of Kanto for continuing to trust us, and as a gesture of gratitutde, I would like to invite all of you to an it all-you-can-eat buffet for humans and Pokemons alike sponsored by the Pokemon research lab and the Sylph Corporation human and Pokemon gastronomy department."
The moment Prof. Oak said that, the catering for both humans and Pokemons was finally in front of the audience, which made them stand up and clap. While Prof. Oak knew that some parents would misunderstand this gesture as a way for him to cloud the memories of the people who were involved in the incident, he couldn't really explain anything that he had done to improve the security of the job application process for all researchers in an event about certifying the internship of the children.
And besides, the government already introduced them to the updates on the job application process of all labs in the whole world of Pokemon; thus, Prof. Oak assumes as of now that they knew what he was doing to make sure that no accidents like that will happen inside his lab complex again.
As Prof. Oak went down the stage, intending to join the festivities, he couldn't help but sigh.
_It has been a long year, and we still have to manage the enrollment and registration process for the next batch of interns. I hope their number will recover soon._

As the hours passed, the festivities ended, and the parents and children alongside their Pokemons started to disperse one by one. Not only that, the morning glow of the sun turned into scorching brightness that was only relieved by the clouds that seemed to indicate the start of snow falling on roofs and houses.
In the skies of the sea route dividing Pallet Town and Fuchsia is a 9-meter blue serpent that's been strapped with a giant saddle. The blue serpent Pokemon is supposed to be intimidating, with sharp teeth and glare, and every trainer who was able to make it obey them during contests and battles is considered to be strong and a prodigy of sorts, however right now, instead of its usual ferocity, the Gyarados of Hana is currently laughing, or doing what its species considers a laugh whilst Hana, Ben and Anthony Dover is riding it back home.
It even sacrificed its usual speed just so that it could coil around the air and put on a show for its master and family. Anthony is more of a speed guy and watched races occasionally because cars or people go fast and not because their wheels go left and right pretty or their calves move like pistons, so he felt like he was in a very obnoxious circus ride; however, it was still a Gyarados he's riding, a Gyarados that can fly, so he still quite enjoyed the ride.
And as he felt the greatly shifting airflow about a thousand meters above the air, the view of the blue sea being hit by the scorching rays of the sun gradually changed into the green and grey of trees and roads in combination, indicating that their house was already near. Of course, this also means that Gyarados' altitude started to lower whilst its showing off also halted.
_Mom and Dad, during the catering buffet in the lab, said that I would be surprised by how much the house has changed..._
Anthony is actually look forward to the changes as he knew that given the combined popularity of his parents as well as their tangible experties in raising strong and champion calibre Pokemons, their daycare center are starting to gain traction (though Anthony was kept in the dark for him to get surprised by the achievements of his parents' business, also for them to gloat on him in person), specially in the trainers curious on how did Hana Dover can train a Magikarp into a very obedient Gyarados without traumatizing it somehow (which is an apparent unofficial way to quickly make it evolve).
Not to mention Anthony's parents' faces started to reappear in commercials, though only in the ones in Pokegram, which is an obvious publicity stunt for their daycare center. Of course, the masses, especially the ones drowned by nostalgia, immediately bit into it, while the kids who also knew about the couple, especially Ben Dover since he just retired recently, were immediately hooked.
_How Mom made Gyarados obedient is a good research subject in the future, but let's see how the house changed before thinking of that._
As Anthony said those words, Gyarados finally descended, gone is its ferocous flight and left only is the gentle floating of its enormous body on a continous descent and as Anthony set his gaze into their new home, his eyes widened whilst his body that was tightly strapped into the saddle of Gyarados slightly leaned in to take on such a breathtaking view.
Their small backyard has now stretched into hectares, and while it's obviously not comparable to the size of the artificial biomes in the lab of Prof. Oak, for Anthony, who has inherited memories from the former owner of his body about the mundane and humble berry forest with handful of Golbats, Zubats, Pidgeys and Spearows benifiting from it, such scale of development in a span of a year is something unprecedented.
Volcanoes around 50 meters high spat out small lava drolls that solidify at their feet, which are used by Fire-types, mostly his mom's Charizard and its spouse, alongside lots of Charmanders with occasional Arcanines and Growlithe, alongside a single Houndoom with a collar. On the right side of the volcanoes is the hot spring area with Normal-type Pokémon, a place attached to the artificial river connected to the sea with the spouse of his mom's Gyarados and two Blastoises of his dad, with lots of Magikarp and Squirtles.
Of course, like the volcanoes, there's also Seakings, a pair of Relecanths, and other Pokemons which are not endemic in the region.
On the other side of the river is the good old berry forest that has lots of trees added to it. Obviously, because forests are the ones that have the best suitable environments for lots of Pokemons, it has the highest density of types in it: Normal types in pairs and bulks with their eggs such as Crobats, Golbats, as well as two Venasaurs with their eggs and many Bulbasaurs, Brellom and their eggs, as well as a handful of their children, alongside Heracrosses that seem to have been targeting the bulb atop the Bulbasaur lines present can be seen.
One can say that even with the forest taking up most of the green, it's still the undisputed most colorful part of the Daycare Center biome sector.
