--- Chapter 343 ---
Di Tian was still in shock over what Han Yuan had done.
"Di Tian, your mastery over the Laws of Darkness and Space is greater than mine in terms of application," Han Yuan remarked casually. "However, that's where it ends."
"You've concentrated solely on mastering these two laws while neglecting the others."
"While there's nothing inherently wrong with that approach..."
"The path I've chosen countered your abilities severely."
Unlike Beta in the Dou Qi Plane, who was confused about the new path he needed to specialize in and required guidance from the Phantasmal Beast Venerable, Han Yuan had always been 'true' about his own vision.
Han Yuan knew perfectly what he had comprehended and mastered: an abundance of vitality (life energy), the positive, negative, and neutral forces of lightning force (bioelectricity), and spiritual power (mental strength/willpower).
Yes, Han Yuan had received the Thunder God's inheritance.
Yes, Han Yuan excelled in spearmanship.
Yes, Han Yuan also has the inheritance of a Divine Beast and an Immortal.
However, these were merely methods of harnessing his source of power. That is why having access to martial techniques from the Dou Qi Plane allowed Han Yuan to utilize his three 'major' sources of energy to their fullest potential.
These dou techniques aren't only beneficial to Han Yuan's cultivation as he made his Divine Arts using them as a reference. They also help him improve his existing self-created power, Atomic Dismantling.
Atomic Dismantling is a core ability Han Yuan discovered not too long ago, involving breaking atomic bonds by agitating electrons, protons, and neutrons with his own bioelectricity and spiritual power.
But this was old news. As Beta had described, Han Yuan was a madman; he could be ruthless toward his enemies, but he was even harsher on himself.
Beta had a couple of years in the Dou Qi Plane to establish a faction and ample time to master his new powers, while Han Yuan had only a few months in the Douluo Plane to improve, and yet he made significant progress.
Both Atomic Dismantling and Elemental Bonding were powers that broke the rules of the world, but Han Yuan refined them even further, creating his 'Divine Arts' based around them.
Thus, the Divine Powers were born!
"You broke my control over the laws..." Di Tian frowned slightly, his expression darkening. "How is that even possible?"
Han Yuan pointed to his eyes. "I've mentioned this before. My eyes can see the essences of the world; I can perceive them down to the most fundamental levels that even your former lord could never imagine."
"I simply used the laws that I've mastered and used them to encompass the other laws of the universe, bringing them down or up, depending on my will."
"Human, how dare you desecrate the majesty of the Dragon God!" Di Tian roared back immediately, filled with anger.
Han Yuan laughed mockingly, "Majesty? Oh, come on! That old man was nothing but a troublemaker in this world."
"Shut your damned mouth!" Di Tian's fury intensified.
"Angry? Why don't you try to kill me, then?" Han Yuan shot him an irritated look.
"Damn, you really have to provoke him," Di Yating thought helplessly. "It's one thing to provoke my brother, but mocking the Dragon God is another matter altogether."
"I did it on purpose," Han Yuan responded casually. He is no longer as irritable as he was to Di Tiian.
Di Yating's mouth twitched in disbelief. "So, you do know what you're doing!"
"Damn it. You underestimate the significance of the Dragon God to our hearts, to the dragons and his followers."
"To Di Tian, the Dragon God is not merely a pillar of faith; it's his obsession to reclaim the glory of the Dragon God."
"No, I didn't underestimate Di Tian's obsession at all." Han Yuan shook his head gently. If there is someone in this world who could understand Di Tian better than he himself could, it would be Han Yuan.
As the reader of the works, though not all of them read to the conclusion, Han Yuan knew just how much Di Tian had suffered at the hands of Tang San and the incompetent, love-struck Silver Dragon King.
Di Tian had waited for more than forty thousand years, ruling the Star Dou Forest. He has experienced periods of stability, extinction, and migration to save the spirit beast race.
He compromised repeatedly with humans, enduring the trampling of his pride, all in hopes of one chance for glory.
Di Tian compromised with Shrek Academy, Body Sect, and Huo Yuhao in the second book. He even lost the Emperor Auspicious Beast, which was akin to his daughter, due to Tang San's scheme.
In the third book, Di Tian compromised with Gu Yuena's brainless plan to infiltrate human forces, but ended up watching his own master becoming a simp.
Even then, all that waiting did bear fruit. The Dragon God returned to the world, but not as a Dragon God himself—he returned as the union of Tang San's son, who had stolen the core of the Golden Dragon King, Tang Wulin, and the love-struck Silver Dragon King, Gu Yuena.
Their union birthed a new Dragon God: Tang San's grandson, Tang Xuanyu.
Upon learning of Tang Xuanyu's existence, Di Tian doubted him at first, but his loyalty never wavered. He ultimately sacrificed himself to become Tang Xuanyu's Spirit Soul before allowing his own dead body to become an Interstellar Bio-Battleship.
Di Tian's loyalty and sacrifice seemed to Han Yuan like a cruel joke—a series of slaps in the face of the so-called Beast God.
Even so, Han Yuan understood that Di Tian was helpless. The burden and pressure he carried on his shoulders, and his hope for the Silver Dragon King, were futile because of her incompetence.
'What a shame that is...' Han Yuan commented inwardly.
Meanwhile, Di Tian's aura was fluctuating nonstop.
The once calm and dignified aura is now a raging storm that could devour the world with its darkness.
"Die..." Di Tian uttered indifferently. He conjured the Dark Dragon Sword, a bigger, sharper, darker, and more refined version of his previous one, and struck Han Yuan down with horrifying sword intent that could cleave the world in half.
Han Yuan noticed this sword strike contained not only sharp sword intent, but also Di Tian's masterful control over the Law of Darkness and Space, which reminded him of a certain captain of Magic Knights with similar skills.
"Dark Magic: Dark-Cloaked Dimensional Slash, huh?" Han Yuan mumbled in amazement. "Then, I will respond with something a little more flashy than before."
Han Yuan twirled his spear, channeling his three power sources into it and creating a bright purple-silver light. He then thrust his spear, sending a ray that countlessly split and overwhelmed the whole sky.
"Cross... Bond..."
"Divine Arts - Three Million Purple Silver Holy Light Spears!"
If Di Tian's attack appeared like darkness that swallowed the world, then Han Yuan's seemed to illuminate it back with divine lights.
Di Tian narrowed his eyes, but didn't stop his sword strike. He watched as his Dark Dragon Sword slash was 'thoroughly' getting bombarded with three million purple silver rays.
"Hmph, again!" He slashed the Dark Dragon Sword again.
Yet, no matter how much Di Tian slashed his Dark Dragon Sword, he only weakened and reduced Han Yuan's attack by 90% of it and had to bear the rest himself. He crossed his arms, receiving the burn of Han Yuan's weakened attack.
Di Tian watched as the sleeve of his robe, a manifestation of his dragon's scales, was 'successfully' penetrated by incredibly pure light elemental power.
Only then did Di Tian realize why he got suppressed so badly.
"Ultimate..."
"Light!"
If there is one element that suppressed Di Tian, then it would be the Ultimate Light.
However, Di Tian himself knew just how hard it was to possess such an overbearing element.
What Di Tian sensed from these attacks wasn't pure light element per se, but a bizarre mix of life-lightning elements that merged the natural light in the atmosphere and transformed into an Ultimate Light.
