"Today, I will make sure to see Logan and let him know who I am". Sophie thought with a bright smile and picked up bed most expensive feminine perfume and sprayed it all over her body.
After doing that, she slowly made her way out of her room and left the mansion. Before she visits Logan, she must first talk to the president and let him know that she knows the truth he had been hiding from the world.
At the same time in the hospital,
Logan had left Hannah's ward and was about to dial his father's number when he saw him approaching him.
"Son, I know you warned me to go along with the Fledds but I just want to help ease your mother's...."
"No need to check about my wife. I will a general announcement shortly". He caught his father's off.
Aunt Tessa turned to look at Logan the moment he said he'd make a short announcement.
"Everyone listen carefully and clearly and I won't repeat myself. Come into the ward with me". He ordered calmly and the whole family wondered why he wants them to crowd Hannah's ward.
They didn't say anything and followed after him into the ward.
The moment they were inside, they saw Hannah sleeping.
"Are you funny? Do you expect us to babysit your foolish classless wife?" Aunt Tessa spat bitterly and angrily turned around to leave, but Logan's sharp words stopped her.
"Take one more step and your bank account will be frozen within seconds".
"Are you listening to your son? How dare he threaten me all because of a worthless woman?" Tessa clenched her fists tightly looking at Mrs Emerson with rage.
"Is Teresa worthy of my love?" Logan fired back and Tessa's heart skip a beat at his words. So she kept mute and didn't say anything. She can't afford to let her daughter suffer.
Hannah, who was getting the sleep she was struggling to get, slowly fluttered her lashes open to see the commotion going on in an ward and her heart skip a beat when she saw the entire family gathered around her.
Her gaze moved to Logan for an explanation, but Logan didn't say anything and slowly walked towards her and sat down on the chair, before taking her hand in his. He entwined their hands together, while Grandma Emerson and Teresa tried not to show their displeasure.
"The announcement I'd like to make right now Isn't because of anybody but the sake of I and Hannah. I and Hannah will be getting married in two two weeks from now and it will be grand. Two days from now is our engagement. And anyone that have a problem with it should kindly leave and listen, the moment you step out of this ward and are against this wedding, get ready to live on the streets with the beggars." He said, staring at the already stunned and astonished Hannah who was staring at me.
She was at a loss for words upon hearing his words.
"Wedding? Engagement?" She thought while staring at him as though he was joking, but his expression remained unreadable.
"wedding? But...." She paused when he placed his forefinger on her lips.
"I know, the contract marriage binds you to me. But we will make it legal and official. " He assured her with a smile but Hannah was feeling a mixed of emotions.
She was very worried and scared. She wasn't against the wedding or engagement, but it was still so soon. She had only spent two months in his mansion and life, but getting married to him means he will finally acknowledge her as his legal wife and not a contract wife.
"Hannah dear, I know you are worried....."
"The world already knows her as his wife so why is there need for a wedding?" Teresa asked and Carie spoke.
"Aunt, you may not accept Hannah as part of the family. But let me remind you of one thing. Don't forget your daughter's in-laws never accepted her. Even her husband treated her like shit. He only married her for our money, but Logan being a good cousin and brother took her abroad. "
"And also don't forget it was your daughter that rushed into marriage thinking he loved her. So please respect my brother's decision. " Carie said with a firm tone and Tessa clamped her mouth shut.
"Because of that slum girl called Hannah, Carie not only humiliated her, she also had the audacity to drag her daughter out like that. She won't spare her". She thought with annoyance.
"Please y'all shouldn't fight. If everyone is uncomfortable about the whole engagement and wedding, I will talk to Logan not to rush things. " Hannah said with a bare audible voice. She was feeling weak and tired.
"No. The decision is final. We are getting married. " He said with finalty and slowly let go of her hand.
"Get some rest now. It's late. I will go and talk to the doctor concerning your discharge tomorrow. " He said before walking away. Carie smiled at Hannah and went to kiss her forehead.
"Congratulations sis in law. " She said with beaming happiness.
Hannah raised her brows in confusion.
"It's supposed be sister in-law not sis". She said and Carie chuckled softly before bending down to whisper in her ear.
"You will make a wonderful wife and guess what, you are the one that will make him a chnaged man. "
Hannah smiled slightly, turning her face away from her.
"He is changing. I don't need to do anything". She whispered back with a smile.
"You don't understand yet. Don't worry, after your wedding night you'd find out". She said and moved back as she watched Hannah's face colored in deep redness.
"EVERYONE LEAVE!" Grandma Emerson half yelled making the rest of the family, turned to look at her as they wondered what was wrong.
"Mother, what is the matter?" Mrs Emerson asked curiously.
"I would like have a private conversation with Hannah, the woman who had made Logan lost his mind completely". She said, with her chins raised up.
Hannah felt her heart skipped a beat at her words.
