Chapter 55 - Aura coming!

Not beyond expectations...

Kai was slumped on the ground, getting relentlessly kicked by the horde of monsters.

Well, how should I put it... He did manage to deal some damage to them when he activated his hidden weapon, since it inflicted soul damage on the creatures, not physical.

But there were just too many monsters, and that ability only recharged after absorbing enough hatred from the group. Unfortunately, these monsters didn't feel hatred—they saw Kai purely as prey.

And their ability to evolve every time one of them was attacked, allowing the whole pack to instantly develop countermeasures, made them terrifyingly strong.

Kai himself wasn't all that powerful... His Gears were carrying him hard.

"KAI!!" Lily shouted his name.

The moment he heard Lily's voice, Kai struggled to get back up.

But right after, a monster kicked him hard, sending him crashing into the nearby wall.

Thanks to his Gear, The Great Big Brother, his durability increased when someone he considered a little sister was present.

'I... I have two little sisters here... If I die, who will protect them?'

He gripped his sword tightly, his determination surging.

'If I can buy enough time for the two of them to escape, that would be good. Then I'll go sit on the altar... watching them grow up... get married... have kids.'

Suddenly, he gritted his teeth, stood up, his face twisted with madness.

"NO FUCKING WAY! DREAM ON!! ANY BASTARD WHO DARES FLIRT WITH MY LITTLE SISTERS, I SWEAR I'LL CHOP THAT GUY INTO PIECES!!!!"

"This guy is hyping himself up? Delusional terror is real..." Lily broke into a cold sweat watching Kai turn into an extreme siscon.

"RAGHHHHHH!!!" Kai roared, all his stats skyrocketing along with his frenzy as he charged straight at the monsters.

"MY LITTLE SISTERS WILL ALWAYS BE MY CUTE LITTLE SISTERS! AND AS YOUR BIG BROTHER, I'LL CARRY THE FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF BEING THE ELDEST BROTHER WITH EVERYTHING I'VE GOT! BECAUSE I AM THE BIG BROTHERRRR!!!!!"

Slap

Kai collapsed to the ground, his sword stabbing straight into the wall.

"..."

GODDAMMIT! YOU WERE SAYING SUCH COOL LINES JUST NOW???

Is this the price for not having background music playing?!

Then, the monsters turned their attention to the two of them.

"Shit..." Lily tried to carry Kanna on her back.

Bad luck for her—her physical strength was even worse than Kai's.

"Ugh!! This girl is so heavy! Those massive breasts are like mobile lumps of fat!!" Lily fell over, pinned under Kanna.

The monsters began surrounding them, opening their disgusting maws.

Lily glanced at Kai, who was struggling to stand, glaring fiercely at the monsters. She could only sigh.

She was used to staring death in the face. At least dying like this was better than being raped by some bastard and thrown into a brothel. Living in this world as a woman was exhausting.

Well... She was actually somewhat satisfied. At least here, there were people who didn't look at her perversely... It just wasn't quite what she imagined (one mentally unstable teacher seeking revenge, one with family issues and a huge ego, and then a delusional siscon-brocon).

"LILY! DON'T GIVE UP!! LILYYY!!!!"

"Ugh, could you keep it down a bit?"

Then he gritted his teeth, looked at his earring, grabbed his sword, and pointed it at his own heart.

...Why do I have such a bad feeling about this?

Just as he was about to do something—and the monsters were closing in—a powerful gust of wind suddenly appeared, forcing the monsters to stagger back.

"..."

At that moment, Kai and Lily looked toward the person walking slowly and gracefully.

"Hello, Doctor, and Kai—what the hell are you doing?" She tilted her head slightly toward Lily, then raised an eyebrow at Kai.

"...Aura, why are you here?"

Aura raised her eyebrow even higher this time, because Kai's tone and way of speaking were completely different from usual.

"What, it's only been a few days and you already miss me that much? We're not even that close... Well, we are kinda close, but not to the point of talking so intimately."

Suddenly, one monster lunged at blinding speed, aiming to bite Aura.

Aura just glanced at it and waved her hand.

Bang!

Blood splattered all over the wall, while the rest of the monsters froze as if lagging.

"...Aura, I'm a bit curious about something, do you mind?" Lily asked, looking at Aura.

"?"

"Your Strength stat... What is it?"

"Hmm... I think it's... 21?"

Monsters? No, she should be called a god.

After all, human stats were always capped at 20—that's after fully activating all talents.

And hers was 21?

"Ah, that's just my base stat."

Come on... Don't make me feel like an ant compared to you...

"Aura! Whether it's 21 or 36, I won't allow you to fight! Get out of here right now!"

"Seriously, what's wrong with you?" Aura scratched her head, looking at Kai.

"He's delusional... Probably got hit in the head somewhere, and now he sees everyone he knows as his little sister."

"...Whoa, I've never seen a plot like this in any novel I've read. Sounds wild."

"What did you say?"

Then she stretched her arms, limbered up, and smiled at Kai.

"Don't worry, Kai-nii... Did I get that right? Anyway, don't worry—I'll take care of all these monsters for you, because I'm your little sister, after all."

Whoa, she's fully roleplaying now. She really loves the game she's playing.

And unsurprisingly, she just gathered power and threw a punch.

Instantly, an incredibly strong gust of wind slammed straight into the monsters.

"...Whoa, Gorilla, why should I even worry," Kai said in stunned amazement.

"What did you call me?"

Aura swung her fist, instantly killing the monsters.

The monsters were trying to adapt and evolve, but they couldn't keep up and were slaughtered in no time.

Perhaps the best tactic against them was to finish them off as quickly as possible.

And indeed, not a single monster was left alive.

"As expected from a Class S student, so strong," Lily wiped her sweat.

"Alright, let's go, everyone," Aura said.

But Kai rushed over, cupped Aura's cheeks with his hands, and frantically checked her over.

"...You're more worried about me than even my own servants."

"How could your servants compare to your big brother? Puff out your cheeks—let me see if you're hurt anywhere!"

"..."

So Kai examined Aura for a while, and Aura felt a strange flutter in her chest, but she didn't pay much attention to it.

"Um... What about me— I mean! Why bother checking the strongest person in Class S so much? She's not even scratched."

"Lily, strong or weak, in my eyes, you're still a little sister who needs protecting! I've finished checking Aura—now it's your turn and Kanna's!"

"Wait, I'm a doctor so I don't need— hey, hey!"

'Should I open my eyes or not?' Kanna thought to herself. It seemed she had just woken up and had no idea what was going on.
