After the meeting in Hokage's office ended, Enma was finally free to head back home, and as he had expected, he was tackled by his siblings as soon as he entered the gate.
Karin, Arashi, and Hiyori were super excited to have him back, and even though he was tired, he patiently listened to everything that they had to say.
"Enma, Karin, Arashi, Hiyori, go freshen up, I will serve the food in an hour." Their mother's voice interrupted them, and the Uzumaki Heir tapped the heads of his siblings, displeased that they were waiting for him to have their dinner.
"Go, hurry up."
Himari curiously looked his way when he walked towards the adjoining Uchiha Compound, but she did not say anything and just took the little ones away.
Enma arrived in the Central Courtyard, where Hazuki, who had just come with him, her two daughters, and Sasuke were present.
"Hey!" He brightly smiled at his old friend, who slowly stood up and activated his Sharingan, which the Uzumaki could sense was stronger. "Perfect Sharingan? Nice."
"I have just one question for you Enma." The Uchiha coldly spoke, and he raised his brow at him. "How can you serve the village after all that they have to our clans?!"
The coldness, anger, resentment, and pain in his voice were heart-wrenching.
"You wish to destroy the Village?" Enma lightly asked.
Sasuke clenched his fists and lowered his head.
"Do you wish to inflict the same pain you have suffered on all our friends and other children in this Village?" He asked again, sensing that his friend's body was trembling. "What will it bring you? Joy? Satisfaction..."
"Stop with your nonsense and answer my question!"
"My loyalties lie with my family first, my friends second, and then the Village. However, the Village only matters to me if my family and friends are respected, safe, and happy here." He lightly said. "Does that suffice?"
The Uchiha stayed silent, kept his head lowered, and was lost in some thought.
"Is Danzo dead?" He asked and smiled when Izumi nodded her head. "Who ended his life?"
"I did," said Hazuki, and her voice was light, "After all of us tortured him for a week."
"Good."
"He had an arm full of missing Uchiha Sharingan, and he had Uchiha Shisui's Sharingan implanted in place of his right eye," Izumi informed him.
"Oh, anything special about it?"
"I tested it," said Hazuki. "Its Mangekyo has the ability to manipulate anyone's mind who is in the field of vision. The eye does not need to be revealed, and the person it is being used on would never realise what is happening to them, but others can tell if they catch up on it. The ability can not be used for a while after you have implanted something permanent in someone's mind, and Danzo was using Senju Hashirama's cells to make it recharge quicker. He could use it once a day."
"He tried it on you?"
"No, he tried it on Kushina, but she pulled his eyes out before he could do it."
"I see." He sighed and then heard Sasuke speak.
"Itachi has the other eye. He... was going to use it on me before Izumi came to my rescue."
"Oh. What did he want to achieve?"
"He wanted to make me loyal to Konoha." The boy clenched his fists, and his body soon started generating electrical charges.
"Don't worry. If he ever does use it on you, I will break you free of its control." He smiled, and hearing his words, all of them relaxed.
They had a gist of what his Chakra Chains were capable of, and hearing him confidently say that he could break them out of such metal manipulations was truly a relief.
"I need a promise from you, Enma."
"Yeah?"
"I will be the one to kill Itachi. You will not interfere in our battle. No matter the result."
The Uzumaki tilted his head, staring at his friend with his blindfolded eyes, and then sighed.
"You are still silly." He said, and Akane, despite the solemn mood, failed to hold back her giggle.
"Promise me."
"Fine, fine." He waved his hand and ignored the boy as he walked over to Izumi.
He took out a black armband from his pocket, which had a red line in the middle, along its entire length. It was same as the ones he usually wore.
"You will be working under me from now on as a part of Team Redline, an Elite Guard that the new Hokage has created. You will soon be announced as a Tokubetsu Jonin."
She furrowed her brows at his words.
"It's an order from the Hokage?"
"Yes."
"I don't care then..." she turned around to walk towards her room.
"If it is a request from me?" He gently asked, and she stopped in her tracks.
"Sasuke was right. You have grown loyal to the Village."
"Is that so? Who asked you to go out of your way to save people during the invasion then?" He asked, and she clenched her fist. "Please, Izumi. I am the one who will receive the Hokage's orders, and my Team will follow my orders. I will need you by my side, and this will benefit our Clans a lot."
"Benefit our Clans?" She smirked and turned around to face him. "How?"
"I will make you the Sixth Hokage of Konoha." He revealed. "I have a deal with Tsunade-sama."
His words exploded in their minds, and they were all stunned.
"What deal?"
"That I will choose the Sixth Hokage or take the seat myself."
Izumi frowned.
"Why would she make such a deal with you?"
"She is... part of our family." He lightly smiled. "Can be considered my stepmother, and I have a half-sister, whose name is Senju Mito."
Her mouth cutely dropped open in shock, and even Sasuke was stunned and gaping at those words.
Hazuki had already guessed it, and still, she was very surprised that it was indeed the truth.
They all stayed silent, and then Izumi drew her hand forward.
He smiled at her and stepped forward to help her wear it on her left arm.
"Welcome to Akaisen, Uchiha Izumi."
She smirked at his words.
"Akaisen? Who else is on the team?"
"Hatake Kakashi, Uzuki Yugao, Hyuga Tokuma, Inuzuka Hana," He informed her. "There are still four spots left, and I will find some members to fill them up..."
"Enma! Give me the band." Sasuke suddenly said, and it was just as he expected.
"Oh, ready to serve the Village now?"
"I am not going to serve anyone, but I will go to battles with you."
"Didn't you want to train under Hazuki-san?"
"It's Izumi who is training me." He shook his head.
Enma nodded his head and sighed.
"The missions we will be taking on will not be easy, Sasuke."
The boy grinned at his words.
"Just what I need."
"If you disobey even a single one of my orders, you will be out of the Team."
"Just give it already." He impatiently said, and Enma sighed before throwing an armband to him.
"What a shame... we have a Genin on our Team now..."
"Shut up!"
"Just kidding. You have been promoted to Chunin." He grinned, and the Uchiha smirked.
"Good."
The ladies giggled at their interaction, and after wishing them good night, the Uzumaki returned to his compound and quickly freshened up.
Karin enthusiastically told him about the events of the day, and proudly informed him that she managed to contain Shukaku on her own.
"I fixed his Jinchuriki Seal as well. Now, Shukaku will not be able to influence Gaara's mind like before."
"Good."
"Now that you are back, let's go on a mission!"
Enma smiled at her words.
"About that... I am no longer on Team 5."
As soon as he said those words, Karin stopped eating and stood up to leave.
"Karin. Sit down and finish your meal." He ordered her, and she glared at him before she angrily sat down and started stuffing her mouth with food.
"I am a Jonin now, so it is not appropriate for me to be on your Team when the Hokage needs me elsewhere." He said, and she grew even more mad. "Your new Teammate is Senju Mito, Hokage's daughter. She is the same age as me."
As soon as he said those words, she froze, but someone else froze as well.
Himari's hand trembled a little, but she soon regained her wits and silently continued eating.
"Senju Mito?" His little sister frowned. "Is she any good?"
"She can use Wood Style. Inherently."
His words made her eyes go wide, and then she smirked.
"I will make her life a living hell for stealing your spot."
"No, you won't." He shook his head.
"Heh... you are fond of her now?"
"Sort of, but she's an even bigger loudmouth than Naruto, and very... blunt."
"I will teach her some sense."
"Karin..."
"What? You don't get to decide what happens on my Team now. You are no longer a part of it."
"Enough." Himari lightly said, and it was enough because her daughter did not speak again.
After Arashi and Hiyori finished their meal, their mother took them to their rooms and quickly returned to her seat.
"Enma..."
"She's my sister, yes." He knew what she wanted to ask, and he confirmed it.
The chopsticks in Karin's hands dropped, and she looked at him in shock.
"Who?" She frowned.
"Mito."
"What? How?" She was shocked and grew mad when he just shrugged.
"How would I know? I did not ask Tsunade-sama about it, and Mito does not know that she is our sister."
Karin instantly looked towards Kushina and her mother.
"It's none of your concern how it happened." Himari narrowed her eyes at her daughter, who lowered her head. "She's your half-sister, and you will be mindful of it. Understood?"
"Yes, Kaa-san."
Enma finished his meal and stood up to leave, and a few minutes later, Karin stood up as well.
She was lost in her thoughts as she walked down the hallway to her room but yelped in surprise when her brother picked her up and led her to his room instead.
She laughed when he dropped her on his bed and jumped on her, tickling her tummy, and her laughter brightened the room.
When they were done playing, she sat down in his lap, facing him, and wrapped her limbs around him.
Instinctively, their lips reached for each other, and the two soon lost themselves in their softness and taste.
Their hearts started beating in a synchronised rhythm, a sense of urgency started to grip their bodies, forcing them to greedily kiss each other back.
When they finally separated, Karin planted kisses all over his face and then hugged him as she decided to sleep in his arms tonight.
"I love you, Nii-san." She whispered, and when she heard his answer, her heart fluttered in delight.
"I love you, Imouto."
