Chapter 345 - Chapter 345. Seven Years Later

Once Team Dominion's base in Cinnabar City was cleaned out, Alex called the League and provided the exact coordinates before taking Clarissa, Rhea, Alvera, and their prisoner, the head of Team Dominion's Kanto branch, back to the yacht, the Azure Voyager, on One Island. He locked the captive up, leaving his Pokémon to guard him, and then set sail for Cerulean City while continuing their vacation with Clarissa, who "enjoyed" her time with Alex and the girls.

Once they arrived in Cerulean City, they transported the yacht to the lake at the base using a space bag. They showed Clarissa around, and after spending a week there, she eventually teleported home to resume her own training, promising to visit again if she ever felt lonely.

Alex then took his new prisoner to Sabrina, who told him the same thing Clarissa had. She didn't have the ability to unravel the psychic lock, as she was still at the Champion rank. Once she reached Master, he would be the first to be notified of anything she discovered, assuming she could break the lock by then.

From that point on, Alex stayed at the base and trained like a madman. He couldn't exactly go anywhere with three new children on the way. Besides, he had just returned from a year-long trip to Hisui and was eager to stay home and be a father.

Speaking of which, he quickly married Kaia, Lyra, and Mika, who wanted their children to be born into a family rather than a seemingly unstable relationship. It was starting to become a tradition that Alex would only marry women he had children with, or so the girls had joked.

Seven months later, Kaia gave birth to a boy named Kai, who had green hair; Lyra gave birth to a girl named Lila, who had blue hair; and Mika gave birth to a boy named Micah, who had black hair. Funnily enough, they were all born with their mother's hair color, but each of them had Alex's deep black eyes. There was no question who their father was.

During those seven months, Alex made sure to produce thousands of Cover Badges, which he sent to the League under Lorelei's name, earning a very hefty amount of credits and contribution points in return. Their value was clear, especially since Clarissa delivered Lorelei's message to Alex to keep them coming when she came to visit.

Also during those seven months, Iono posted the edited video of her and Alex's takedown of Team Dominion's base, which intensified public hatred for the organization and reminded people of the atrocities they had committed in Hoenn. Coupled with the recent loss of their base in Kanto, the organization was understandably having a tough time.

Alvera, meanwhile, couldn't believe that her dad was actually on TV and had even raided a base with Iono. She did, however, realize that the video had been heavily edited, as she knew exactly what one of her dad's raids looked like, and it was certainly not as pleasant as Iono had made it appear.

Lastly, during those seven months, Alex bought over a dozen Remoraid and added them to the lake along with Mantyke. Eventually, Mantyke evolved into Mantine when it found a matching Remoraid to evolve with. Now Alex had a flying mount. All that remained was to feed it a large amount of Herba Mystica until it grew into a titan and outfit it with Rhea's tech. Only time would tell how this little project would turn out.

The next five years were relatively peaceful, spent on constant training with occasional breaks to hunt bounties whenever Nyx provided information on particularly profitable targets. The competition was growing fierce, however, due to a significant increase in bounty hunters in Kanto caused by the Silver Network. Not that he minded, considering the income he was able to earn from it.

His earnings increased even more after the League officially certified the Silver Network as a League-backed organization following the five-year wait requirement, bringing with it plenty of benefits. These included a portion of the contribution points earned by the bounty hunters under their name, increased reputation with the League that attracted many trainers seeking more than the standard training provided by the police academy, and greater prestige for the bounty hunters within the Silver Network. Overall, Alex stopped keeping track of how many Poké Dollars, credits, and contribution points he had.

Speaking of finances, Alex's idea for the flying arena was a complete bust. No network had the infrastructure necessary to produce thousands of drones only to have them destroyed. Still, they managed to rake in plenty of money through advertisements every year when they held a competition and streamed it.

The revenue had grown large enough to earn back their spending on the arena and the base's operations for the year. Now they were not only financially independent, but they were also making far more money than they could spend which was great news for the employees and bounty hunters whose benefits seemed to increase each year.

In addition to streaming the flying arena, Alex also added a battle royale in which he and all his Pokémon would fight until only one remained. He hadn't forgotten the thrill of battling in a purely chaotic brawl, so he went ahead with the idea and created another revenue stream. Although it was significantly less popular than the flying arena, it remained a novelty, as Alex and interested bounty hunters would occasionally join the fight, catering to the martial artists of the Pokémon world.

The reason it wasn't as popular, however, was the simple fact that only Alex's Champions ever won. They would only fight after all the weaker opponents had been taken out, which obviously included Alex himself, who was only human despite being a Champion. Not that he minded; he always had fun whenever they fought.

On the subject of fighting, Maylene paid a visit, just as she had promised. She took a quick look at the Lucario nest and was genuinely impressed when they invited her to participate in a hunt in the danger zone north of the base. She saw that they were content, happy, well fed, producing plenty of offspring, and more than willing to work alongside the employees and bounty hunters of their own volition. It made her happy knowing her friend's Pokémon were in good hands.

To thank Alex for fulfilling his promise, she spent a full 24 hours with him in a special Champion ranked bunker that he and the girls had designed specifically for sex of a more brutal kind. The room contained nothing but reinforced padding meant to protect the walls from the damage they could inflict. It did have a minor drawback though, as the tremors could be felt in the main hub, but it caused no damage to the building's structural integrity, so it did its job well enough.

It was a room that Clarissa was also able to enjoy with Alex whenever she visited, which the girls appreciated, as it gave them some relief during the following week while Alex remained fully satisfied.

That arrangement did, however, confuse Alvera, who eventually asked if Clarissa was a new mommy, a question that earned only a blush and no answer. She was not ready to be tied down yet, given the prospects of her future. For now, she was satisfied with having sex with Alex, a relationship that had culminated on the yacht during their return trip.

Alex, meanwhile, didn't mind either way; to him, it was just sex. The same went for his relationships with Maylene, Talia, Celise, Mira, and Lina, none of whom had a love trigger with him yet. Maylene, Talia, and Celise were only interested in sex, while Mira and Lina were slowly working through their trauma and preferred to avoid a committed relationship for the time being.

At the end of the fifth year after the vacation, Alex finally started training Alvera seriously in hand-to-hand combat, as she now had a body large enough to work with. Up until that point, she had regularly sparred with peers her own age, exercised to bring her physique up to her rank, practiced shooting with guns, and commanded her Pokémon in battle, but Alex didn't think it was enough. He wanted to instill true combat sense in her so that she could combine all the lessons she had learned in school into a proper fighting style.

So, one day, he took her to the sparring ground and sparred with her. He made sure to use only enough strength to leave bruises at most while mixing his fighting style between formal martial arts, mixed martial arts, street fighting, and even the lowest level of street fighting that most civilians know how to do, such as grabbing hair, punching crotches, or gouging eyes.

Slowly, Alex increased the brutality of their sparring, starting with bruises and progressing to broken bones after a year. Over that time, she had become highly resistant to being grappled and had grown accustomed to sustaining broken bones in every fight. After another year of training, she was strong enough to continue fighting despite being heavily wounded with broken bones. Her toughness and determination were unquestionable when it came to hand-to-hand combat.

Alex loved seeing his daughter absorb his lessons like a sponge. He also pitied any man who thought they could take his beautiful daughter by force. He was genuinely excited to hear her stories of how she would "accidentally" castrate her opponents in self-defense.

Finally, seven years and four months after the end of their vacation in the Sevii Islands, Alvera turned 16, was about to graduate from high school, and was ready to begin her journey.
