The Score - Born For This (Official Audio)
Duke Strauss openly laughed out loud at the sight in front of him - the flames having consumed those fools for a few seconds now. They weren't even able to react despite acting so cocky. Now their overconfidence had come to burn them to naught except soot soon to be on the soles of his boots.
It was quite embarrassing that he was ever cautious over those runts. In hindsight it was obvious some random demons and a little brat of a girl would not stand a chance of endangering him. Still he would not be the wise duke if he did not occasionally decide to be cautious.
"I suppose that is all you were worth on the-"
His cocky statement to himself collapsed when the fire in front of him split apart as the massive head of his wyrm flew bastards. That demoness with the horned crown standing in the same place without any visible burns on her body. Currently looking as if she had just thrown a punch towards his wyrm.
That lesser-dragon of his falling backwards onto the wall where he was stood and, unsurprisingly given the force at which the summons head whipped backwards, carved a crevice right through the stone bricks.
He barely managed to avoid the path of his dragon…
Only for the wind to come a moment later.
A torrent of displaced air flew all around the demoness; path of attack causing the other girl with blood red hair to get thrown forwards. However he could hardly comment as that same gust of wind them him sailing through the air. Although that wind also did a little more than merely drag him off the wall.
With the vacuum of air being filled he was unable to resist his free fall so had to prepare for a landing. Not that he was too worried about getting hurt from such a fall - he was far too strong to be hurt by something so benign. Though as he landed in front of the group he found himself across from the hammer wielding brat who had initially tore through the fortress.
His gaze wasn't focused on her weapon nor on her immature features that seemed nearly ready to bloom into a truly beautiful woman.
Well, he was a little focused on her face, but his main focus was on her hair.
It was forced to whip around wildly due to the chaotic wind that the demoness left in wake of her surely strongest punch. That, additionally to plenty of other chaos, caused the blood dying her hair to finally be knocked aside to reveal its true colour. A silver that seemed to glimmer like moonlight in a crimson sky.
"That hair… You… You can't be!"
An unnatural anger began to flow through him as he stood up from his crotch as that girl attempted to regain her balance from the sudden uncontrolled movement.
Though her gaze did turn up to meet his eyes.
Eyes that, now that he was up close, revealed that she didn't just know him… Those eyes contained pure unadulterated hatred that caused him to stumble backwards. In panic he screamed out at the top of his lungs to his ultimate tool.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING: KILL THIS GHOST!"
Indeed the wyrm began to rise up - the sound of stone crumbling & falling away echoed throughout the place as his confident smirk began to reform. The shadow of that beast hovering over them was a comforting experience. At least until a violet explosion of petals appeared behind his would-be daughter.
Petals whooshing by them as he turned his head in a feeble attempt to try to keep up with the raw speed of whatever flew right past him.
Turning just in time to see that demoness holding both the wyrm's horns in her hands at the same time despite the size of the beast. Of course it was only possible as she apparently tore one of them right off its head in a brutal & bloody display of dominance. Causing it to roar out in a mixture of pain, anger and fear.
There was nothing as disrespectful in their cultures as to hold another's horns. For the two groups horns represented no less than a crown did for a human king. It was a sign of status as well as a core part of identity so to have someone grab them; it showed a complete dominance over them.
Victory had an even greater knowledge of how disrespectful it was - she was the one who personally crafted the basis from what a demon was after all.
And she reveled in the shivering beast under her.
Cheeks practically splitting as her toothy grin grew far past what could appear human; lifting her foot before slamming it down on the beasts writhing snout. Sending the beast into the ground as she used the counter force to travel backwards a little. Letting her land in front of the dragon-kin.
"Nothing better than putting a lizard in their place vihihih!"
Quite pleased as that creature didn't know what was good for itself since it growled at her with it's weird fucked up maw releasing an acidic mist as it tried to jump at her. Last second she had her feet fly up to flick to divert the beast's charge above her. Following up with a casual punch upwards.
Not even bothering to look to see if her attack was on target as she could already tell from the draconic blood filled shower she received.
That beast once again found its head whipping backwards while she just slowly paced forward as soon as her attack first connected. Though it seemed to be learning as it's tail whipped around in an attempt to catch the divine demon of primordial blood off guard. Hoping to take advantage of her lowered guard.
It failed.
She just lifted an open palm up to catch the scaled tail without so much as being pushed back despite the sheer size difference between them.
Moments larger her fingers tensed as she pushed them through the now cracking scales before using her new grip to wretch that monster into the air. Letting it experience zero gravity for a second only to slam it back into the ground where she'd let it go, Wyrm bouncing across the floor as she continued walking toward it without any sign of urgency.
All of this being witnessed by Duke Strauss who could only stand there silently watching as his seemingly invincible summon was battered around like it were a toy. A sight he would have never expected to see this morning when he first set off to show those lowly beast men their place. Yet he found that not even being the most shocking part of the scene around him.
"That is who my summoning curse allowed me to bring into this world… Father."
Finally managing to get some words back as the duke could only slowly turn his head to look towards the girl who he could no longer deny the existence of.
She was supposed to be a weakling who would die in days after having been tossed out. Especially since many groups would salivate at the chance to gut a girl with the blood of the royal family whether for their sick satisfaction or some demonic ritual. Yet here she stood in front of him.
Throwing a hammer heavier than a grown man up onto her shoulder as she began to slowly walk towards him in a fashion reminiscent of what the demon just did to his wyrm.
Unconsciously the parallels caused him to step back in fear despite his usual arrogance.
However he soon caught himself, realising it wasn't the demoness in front of him, causing his grin to finally get the chance to reform upon that fugly face of his. Eyes narrowing as he studied the girl with the cogs inside his head slowly beginning to function. Not taking long to figure out that this may not be as bad as he first thought it was.
"As I should have expected from my own daughter; even your curse is powerful enough to bend this world to your will!"
Her face didn't change from one that told him absolutely nothing.
The word hollow came to mind as she looked at him with a faintly tilted head; perhaps due to the massive hammerhead of metal & rock that rested beside her head.
Snorting to himself as he revelled in the girl still being the pathetic scaredy cat he remembered.
"Although your power is aberrant you have proven yourself so I think it is only right that I correct my prior mistake and return your birthright. Perhaps you can even be more than that. I doubt even your older brother or sisters could stand a chance against that monster-"
"Victory, Absolute Mind, Divine Demon of the Primordial Blood, Fist Saint, the Origin of Sin and Supreme Archdemon Archon of the entirety of the demon realm as well as countless worlds beyond."
That series of seemingly meaningless nonsense caused Strauss to stutter, not just angry at being interrupted but confused, not knowing what the brat was raving about.
"What are you on about?!"
"Those are a few of her titles, I've long realised she's far beyond a mere monster, she is what the monsters like you hope they never run into for the rest of their pitiful lives."
Evidently enough that was not the response he wanted as his face became red with rage as he began to freely yell; not caring about his spittel or the girl continuing to slowly approach.
"Don't be stupid Elizabeth Strauss, the divine demon is dead, I am giving you a chance that you would do well to heed as I do not intend to be so generous in the future should you push-"
"I refuse."
Not only had she interrupted him again but she even had the gal to refuse him.
"You plan to leave everything you could have behind due to being a stubborn woman?!"
"No, I will reclaim everything I'm owed, but I refuse to accept anything given to me by you… Including the name Elizabeth Strauss." < >
Suddenly the veins on her body grew pronounced as a crimson glow shined through their walls - letting out a roar as she charged towards her once father with her hammer raised high.
