The shadow portal folded in on itself with a soft implosion.
Dust and light scattered across the stone floor as Aamir, Seenu, and Kunal stepped out together.
They were back.
The underground settlement of Osyris stretched before them—wide corridors carved from ancient alloy and crystal, glowing veins of energy running through the walls like a living circulatory system. The air felt heavier than before, not from danger, but from anticipation.
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then—
A shout rang out.
"L-Lord Aamir?!"
A young Osyrian guard stumbled backward, four eyes widening in shock as he stared at the three figures standing at the portal's remains. His blue skin paled, veins beneath it glowing faintly as disbelief washed over his face.
"You… you returned?"
Aamir nodded once. "We're back."
The guard didn't wait for more.
He spun around, pulling a small crystalline device from his belt. His hands shook as he activated it.
