When Mu Xingfeng came back from grocery shopping, he knew the little one had been waiting eagerly. She probably heard the sound of him taking out the keys, and before the key even touched the lock, the door was opened from the inside.
"Mu Xingfeng, why are you so late?" An Ran complained, reaching out to take the bags from his hand.
"Couldn't wait any longer?"
Mu Xingfeng handed her the bag with snacks and ice cream, thinking she was impatient to eat the ice cream. The bag with vegetables and meat was a bit heavy, so he didn't pass it to her, just holding it as he changed his shoes.
An Ran didn't try to take the bag from his hand again. She turned around and ran to the fridge, put the ice cream and snacks inside, then followed Mu Xingfeng into the kitchen.
"I was anxious, it's so hot outside, yet you insisted on going to the market. Look at you, your head's all sweaty and your clothes are soaked. Go take a shower, I'll cook."
