"Mu Xingfeng, why don't we get a divided hot pot for our home next time," An Ran said as she refilled the water and added the base ingredients, negotiating with Mu Xingfeng.
"No need, I prefer the clear broth," Mu Xingfeng brought out the washed vegetables and placed them on the table.
"Is it enough? Should we add a bit more?" An Ran asked as she mixed a small dish of seasoning for him, adding chili as she spoke.
Mu Xingfeng took the seasoning and small bowl from her hand, "I'll do it myself."
Actually, Mu Xingfeng didn't particularly like hot pot. Fishing out a bit of food from the boiling soup and waiting for it to cool down before eating it was troublesome.
But he noticed that An Ran had a special fondness for hot pot, which was probably a woman's nature.
Shopping, eating hot pot, both had something in common – enjoying picking things out of a variety of colorful options that satisfied them.
