Chapter 463 - Chapter 462: Sending the Invitations

Naori had also been quite busy these past two days, and the time they spent talking on the phone had significantly decreased. They only chatted for three hours yesterday and didn't meet at all.

Fortunately, the trivial pre-wedding matters hadn't impacted their relationship. Both of them were seriously proceeding with the wedding preparations. After all, a person only gets one wedding in a lifetime, and Torifu had to find a way to give Naori the best.

He felt that the wedding he was planning was unprecedented and unlikely to be replicated. Looking across the entire Ninja World, no one would have a more glorious wedding than Naori. He wouldn't be surprised if the story of their wedding day was told throughout the entire Ninja World in the future.

With a wave of Torifu's hand, the two wedding outfits hanging on the racks were instantly stored in his Space Ring.

"Hokage-sama's ability is truly unfathomable."

Torifu waved his hand at the comment. "It's just something I developed as a child. No need to pay too much attention to it." Most people in Konoha Village already knew about Torifu's item. Long ago, Torifu had explained its origin: an accidental Ninjutsu experiment that led to the creation of the Space Ring.

"You should go and rest. You truly spent a lot of effort on these two outfits."

Madam Beni nodded, looking tired. "Indeed, you are right. I didn't sleep well for several nights because of these outfits, constantly worried that something might go wrong and they wouldn't meet your expectations."

Torifu smiled at her. "You can rest assured now. I am very fond of this attire, and Naori will also be very pleased; I've asked her opinion."

Madam Beni forced a smile. "That's the best outcome."

Seeing her so strained, Torifu quickly left her office, allowing her to get some much-needed sleep.

"Hokage-sama, are you leaving already?" the seamstress at the door asked.

"I am. Your Madam Beni has fallen asleep in the office. I'm leaving after picking up the clothes."

The seamstress nodded. "Understood, Hokage-sama. None of us will disturb Madam Beni. She has been pulling all-nighters for days."

Torifu then left the embroidery shop. Now, it could be said that all preparations were ready, only waiting for the final element. This wedding attire should certainly satisfy Naori.

If the system had allowed for custom clothing, Torifu would have directly used his Peace Points to create a set from the shop. Unfortunately, that function wasn't available. However, he was able to find some bits and pieces of jewelry and accessories in the system store, such as hairpins and rings. Torifu spent a long time refreshing the store to gather a complete set of jewelry, which he planned to give to Naori to wear at the wedding.

He planned to find an opportunity tomorrow to let Naori try the outfit on to see the effect. Just seeing the clothes hanging on the wooden frame made them look incredibly beautiful; if Naori were to wear it, she would undoubtedly be stunning.

As he was thinking, he ran into Katō Dan walking toward him.

"Hey, Hokage-sama, shouldn't you be in the office? Why are you out here?"

Torifu waved his hand. "This is just a Shadow Clone. I came out to handle some business."

Dan was relatively easy to fool, completely trusting Torifu's words, or perhaps he was just too lazy to question it.

"Is that so? I was just about to report to you. Your clone should share memories with the original, right? Then I'll tell you directly."

Torifu nodded. "Go ahead. Just tell me."

"The Ninja sent to deliver the invitations to the Land of Wind and the Land of Earth sent a message via Flying Bird, saying they are expected to reach the two great hidden villages today."

Torifu nodded. This was nothing major, just a routine report. The Flying Bird must have been dispatched yesterday, only reaching Konoha Village today, so the message indicated an estimated arrival at the two great villages today.

"You are the Anbu Commander; you can handle matters like this entirely on your own. You don't need to report everything to me."

Dan smiled. "But this concerns your great wedding, and it's a top priority for Konoha Village. It must be subject to your review."

Torifu felt a little helpless. A wedding was just meant to be a lively celebration, but they were treating it like a war, making everyone feel anxious. However, Torifu could understand their mindset; they didn't want anything to disrupt his wedding. Any mistake could lead to criticism from the entire village of Konoha.

"Alright, alright. Who are the Ninja sent to deliver the invitations to these two villages?"

Dan bowed. "They are Jiraiya and Yuhi Shinku."

Both of the Ninja's reputations were significant. Shinku was also quite famous in Konoha Village. Although he wasn't as well-known across the Ninja World, that was only because he hadn't experienced a major war. He was currently at the Elite Jonin level. As for Jiraiya, he needed no introduction. He frequently traveled the Ninja World, and stories about him circulated almost everywhere, such as acquiring Sage Jutsu from the Great Toad Sage on Mount Myōboku. His reputation was immense.

Sending these two Ninja to carry out the task of delivering invitations fully demonstrated Konoha Village's sincerity. It would also give face to the two Kage. In diplomacy, one must demonstrate their own strength while also showing respect to other nations to maintain good diplomatic relations and prevent resentment.

"I am very confident in their work. Do you have anything else to report?"

Dan shook his head. "No, that's all I have to report."

"Then go attend to your own matters. All the information has already been relayed to my original body."

Dan bowed and then turned to leave. Torifu then exhaled. "This kid probably found something out, but it doesn't matter. I'm the Hokage—what do I have to be afraid of? Even if I openly slack off, who can stop me?"

With that, Torifu activated his Concealment Jutsu again. As the strength of the Ninja close to Torifu in Konoha Village continued to increase, the Concealment Jutsu was becoming less effective on them. He was often called out on the street. It seemed he still needed to improve the technique so that anyone whose power level didn't exceed his own would be unable to see him.

Torifu then returned to the Clan Compound. Thankfully, he didn't encounter any more acquaintances along the way; otherwise, he truly wouldn't have known what story to make up next.

As soon as he arrived home, he saw Minato sitting in the gazebo, fiddling with his phone.

"Still playing games, Minato? I think you've been at it all day."

Minato chuckled. "I didn't want to play, but Kushina called me and insisted on having a one-on-one. I've already lost several times."

This young man really had a knack for things.

"You can't keep losing all the time. You need to win occasionally, but don't use your full strength. Let Kushina think you won by luck or that you suddenly got your rhythm back. That way, she'll have the motivation to keep playing."
