Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5 BLOOD AND REBELSHIP

Ancient Imperial Calendar Year 1800

In this world, there are countless Dynasties.

They are divided into three categories:

Minor Dynasties, Major Dynasties, and Ancient Dynasties.

Minor Dynasties

They are dynasties that rule villages and towns without proper income or an army.

This category also includes descendants of fallen noble dynasties.

Major Dynasties

They rule cities, castles, and vast lands.

They have large incomes and large armies.

Ancient Dynasties

They are very old and deeply rooted dynasties whose origins date back to the time of the Ancient Empire.

The Kislavein Dynasty is the finest example of these dynasties.

They encompass hundreds of major and thousands of minor dynasties.

They are authoritative and powerful enough to control all of them.

The exact numbers of their wealth and armies are unknown.

The hair, eye, aura, and magic colors unique to the Ancient Dynasties are the symbols of their houses.

The Dark Blood Red of the Kislaveins, the Silver of the Payrists, and the colors they inherited from other dynasties represent them.

In addition to all this, Ancient Dynasties also stand out with their unique magic and sword techniques.

According to a tradition that has persisted for generations in the Kislavein Dynasty,

Kislavein children begin learning swordsmanship at five years old

And begin learning magic at seven years old.

This tradition was started by Jarvin III, the 17th Lord of the Kislavein Dynasty.

He was the greatest military genius of his age, highly accomplished in swordsmanship and magic.

He developed himself from childhood,

Slaughtered all his siblings, and laid the foundations for Kislavein's military influence across the Five Lands.

He turned his Dynasty into a feared House across the Five Lands.

To increase the quality of warriors and mages in his Dynasty, Jarvin III completely reorganized the education system from scratch.

A child would begin swordsmanship training at the age of five.

Through long-term meditation and heavy training, they would lay the foundations of their aura,

Thus enabling them to use aura better and more powerfully in the future.

At seven years old, they would begin magic training,

Thus learning to gather the mana in the air into their body through breathing,

And would possess a larger mana pool in the future.

Thanks to this, Kislavein warriors and mages always became stronger than those of other dynasties.

On the other hand, Dynasty members of Kislavein blood trained with this method became even more powerful.

Seliarnevre closed her history book

And looked at her five-year-old son, Ricardo.

Ricardo was listening to his mother with complete focus.

Seliarnevre smiled slightly.

"You are five years old now, Ricardo. You must begin your swordsmanship training."

Ricardo was excited.

In his previous life, he had held a sword for almost his entire life,

But in the five years since his rebirth, he hadn't even touched the hilt of a sword once.

Now, he was happy to be wielding a sword again after so many years.

A slight smile was on his face.

Shortly after, the guard Richard Kislavein, who would take Ricardo to the training ground, entered the room.

Richard had been appointed as Ricardo's personal guard when Ricardo was born,

And now he would become the master of the boy he had protected for five years.

Richard bowed his head in a respectful and noble tone.

"My greetings to My Lady and the Young Lord. My Lady, if the Young Lord is ready, we may proceed to the training ground."

Seliarnevre nodded as if to say yes.

Richard took Ricardo from the chair, and the pair headed to the training ground.

But things would not go as Ricardo expected.

Richard looked at Ricardo.

"Young Lord, I know what you are dreaming of, but we will not start using the sword right away.

First, I will teach you how to create your aura.

First, sit on the ground, cross your legs, place your hands on your knees, close your eyes, and clear your mind of thoughts.

Even if there is a man with a knife beside you, maintain your posture and concentration, and do not open your eyes until you feel the aura.

You must be wondering what this feeling is like, Young Lord.

Let me tell you this: you will understand when your aura is formed."

Ricardo asked no questions.

He sat on the ground, crossed his legs, placed his hands on his knees, and closed his eyes.

In his previous life, it had taken him an hour to feel his aura, but this time the situation was different.

Thanks to seventy years of life experience, feeling his aura took only seconds.

Seeing this, Richard's knees went weak with astonishment.

The record for sensing aura in history belonged to Matheus II, the 24th Emperor of the Ancient Empire: 12 minutes.

The current Lord of the Kislavein Dynasty, IV. Orsman, had taken 17 minutes to feel his aura.

But now, a first in history was occurring.

It had taken only seconds for Ricardo Kislavein, one of the youngest sons of the Dynasty, to feel his aura.

Richard looked at his student with a face full of astonishment and excitement.

He was witnessing the birth of the greatest genius in history, and there was no other witness to this moment.

When Ricardo gathered his aura within his body, he opened his eyes and saw his master Richard looking at him.

He was already aware of what had happened.

He knew the consequences of sensing and forming aura in seconds.

If this event became known, an endless army of assassins could come after him.

Although Seliarnevre was a great expert in intrigue, even she had her limits.

Ricardo looked at his master and took a deep breath.

He knew this would be a long conversation.

He had to convince his master and ensure he kept his mouth shut.

"Master, I'm sure you want to tell everyone about this, but—"

Richard cut off his student with a serious expression, knelt down, and began to speak.

"Do not worry, Young Lord Ricardo. I am well aware of what would happen if I announced this to everyone.

Meditate in the same position a while longer, and I will record your time as half an hour.

Since your brothers can feel their aura within this time, you will neither draw attention nor grow stronger safely.

I will train you in such a way that no one in this world—not even your father, House Lord IV. Orsman—will be your equal."

Richard knelt and bowed his head, speaking with a respect no adult would usually show a five-year-old child.

"I will serve you with all my strength, not out of duty but of my own free will.

My Young Lord, accept from now on my admiration and loyalty to you.

I, Richard Kislavein, loyal warrior of the House of Kislavein, descended from the bloodline of the Kislavein Dynasty,

Son of the line of Felras, son of the 33rd House Lord II. Zarvion,

Swear that from this moment on, I offer you my sword, my honor, and my loyalty."

Ricardo took the sword Richard offered him and held it against his chest,

Continuing the warrior oath of the Kislavein Dynasty.

"I, Ricardo Kislavein, son of the 65th Lord IV. Orsman, accept the loyalty of my kinsman, blood-brother, and master, Richard Kislavein.

And I swear in the name of my father, Kislavein House Lord IV. Orsman, that I will protect your honor and will not disappoint you."

Thus, Richard became Ricardo's first sworn warrior,

And this oath between the two would last until Richard's death.
