After walking for an unknown amount of time, Alex and Eric were brought to a cave entrance in the wild. The surroundings were filled with rocks of different shapes and sizes and lizard beasts roamed the place.
Some of the beasts even approached the group upon sighting them but were quickly taken care of by the dark beasts.
Eric looked around nervously as they entered the cave and arrived at a thin corridor with rough walls on both sides. The boy stuck closely to Alex, as that was the only reason he was still able to keep calm.
Alex calmly walked behind the five mages while three of the dark beasts tailed behind them, the other dark beasts waited at the entrance of the cave on the orders of the mages.
Alex scanned the place with his senses. The cave they were in wasn't very big and only had a single large opening at the end of this corridor, Alex could pick up the presence of a few people up ahead.
