By the time Belle returned with Elaine, the girl looked much different.
With the dirt and grime washed off, as well as her hair being properly combed and groomed thanks to Belle, she looked much better. Her dark blond hair formed waves as smooth as silk and fell down her shoulder.
Morena paused for a moment.
'To call her stunning might be an understatement.'
The girl was naturally beautiful, but there was more to it than that; something about her features drew the eye, even with her tired face and poor clothing. The shape of her face, the softness of her skin after washing, the faint sharpness near her ears, all of it came together in a way that made her stand out too much.
'Must be the wonders of elven blood.'
It made sense.
Elves were known for their beauty, to the point where old books described them as naturally captivating. Morena had thought most of that was exaggeration, but seeing Elaine now, even with diluted blood, she understood why such rumors existed.
