After the striding triumph of Kunku, it did not take long for the Great Mother to open the Pond.
According to legend, the Pond was a life-force staking medium through which the Great Mothers sought verification of truths too heavy for mortal deliberation. It was said the last time it had been opened—by the Former Great Mother—had also been her final act. Whatever secret revealed itself within its depths had guided the ascension of the new Great Mother.
And now, after she opened it, what needed to be done for their people—to exist within the Utopia—was confirmed.
A council was convened, though it no longer resembled what it once had been.
A new force had emerged. Despite his seeming disinterest, Kunku was placed at the head of the Loins of the Elders, with Kuracha directly beneath him, followed by the remaining twenty Loins. The Ten Elders retained their seats—but increasingly as figureheads rather than wielders of decisive power. Even Ckain was granted participation.
