River's fingers lingered at my side after the zipper gave way, his knuckles brushing my skin as though he was savoring the simple fact that he could touch me.
The air against my skin felt cool, but the heat radiating from his body swallowed any chill before it could settle. When the fabric loosened, he didn't rush. He simply tugged once, and the gown slipped from my body, gliding down in a whisper until it pooled around my feet.
I stepped out of it without looking down.
