Although Miyu didn't understand why Jiang You needed her to summon Illya again when Illya was already right there, she didn't press the matter, grateful for the chance to see her brother. Still, the girl on the Card looked strikingly different from the person standing beside her. The Card's Illya was more cheerful, with softer features, but Miyu reminded herself that this was only their first meeting. First impressions could be misleading. "I usually Normal Summon Prisma Illya," she explained.
"Huh? Eeh?"
A pink magical wand flew out of a spatial rift, emitting confused noises. It circled around, forming a curtain of magical power. Within the curtain, the girl struck a classic Magical Girl transformation pose, completing her transformation.
When Prisma Illya finished transforming and realized she was surrounded by people staring intently at her, her face flushed crimson. She shrank back, steam seemingly rising from her head.
"This isn't what we agreed on! Why is my transformation being watched like this?!"
"No, no, no! I don't know what's happening either! Someone activated a world-hopping spell—could it be the Old Man of the Jewels?"
Ruby flapped her tiny wings, her previous transformation having been involuntary.
"And the old geezer would never take people to other worlds! What's going on?"
Magical Girl Illya Caster 4-Star Attack Power: 1800
1-When this card is Special Summoned, you can activate this effect: add one "Dream Fusion" from your Deck to your Hand.
2-Once per turn, reveal one Fusion Servant from your Extra Deck to your opponent. You can then add one Fusion Material Servant with that Fusion Servant's name listed on it from your Deck or Graveyard to your Hand.
Aside from sharing a name with the Illya here, her effects are completely different. This Illya can synergize with Berserker, while that one focuses entirely on Fusion. A single card that doesn't cost any resources and can summon any related Fusion Servant is already incredibly useful.
Wearing such flimsy clothes in front of others was mortifying. She mustered her courage, glanced around, and immediately spotted a familiar figure nearby. "Brother Shirou!"
Miyu glared at Prisma Illya with ill-concealed hostility. My brother only has one sister! She's trying to steal my place!
"Me?"
Shirou Emiya thought he was being addressed. This was the second time he'd heard that title today. He instinctively looked toward the original Illya of this world, who had previously insisted he call her "Sister."
"Huh? Two brothers...?"
Prisma Illya suddenly realized there was another Shirou Emiya facing her. She pinched her cheek, wondering if she was still dreaming.
"Idiot Illya, didn't I tell you we jumped to a Parallel World? This can't be the brother you know," Ruby scolded, flitting out of her hand. As part of the Card, it couldn't stray beyond its designated range.
"This summoning method is unheard of," Ruby remarked. "And with duplicate Illyas, isn't this getting a bit too chaotic?"
"Another world?! Th-then... how do we get back?!"
Prisma Illya panicked instantly. She had never ventured far from home alone, let alone traveled to another world. If she couldn't return, she'd never see her parents, Sella, or Brother Shirou again. The thought alone made her tears start to well up.
"Hey, hey, don't panic! If we got here, we can definitely get back. Just reverse the method we used to arrive... But before that, a shy, teary-eyed girl like you is quite the sight, Illya. Could you tighten your legs just a bit? That pose is both innocent and alluring..."
Completely oblivious to the danger, Ruby began snapping photos of Prisma Illya.
"D-don't... don't do that!"
Prisma Illya tugged her skirt down even lower. She hadn't fully warmed up to this yet; later, she would have punched Ruby into the ground without hesitation.
"Is this Magical Artifact... malfunctioning?"
Looking at Prisma Illya, who was dressed exactly like her, Illya also felt embarrassed.
"Just Kaleidoscope's twisted sense of humor."
Before Prisma Illya came out, Kaleidoscope had always seemed like just an ordinary prankster. Now he's become a die-hard Magical Girl enthusiast.
"Speaking of which, that box in your Tohsaka family's storage... it seems to contain one of these things. After all, you were its previous Master, Rin Tohsaka."
"Huh? Me?"
Rin Tohsaka pointed incredulously at herself. The Tohsaka family indeed had many secrets she was unaware of, her father having died young without explaining anything. She had only pieced together some clues herself. Imagining herself wearing Prisma Illya's pink Mystic Code, Rin shuddered—she could never accept such a look. What on earth did my Parallel World self do?!
"It seems you know quite a bit, young man," Ruby remarked, overhearing Jiang You's conversation. "If you can observe Parallel Worldlines, you must be no ordinary person yourself. Could you please help us get back?"
"No need for an escort."
Jiang You's Noble Phantasm could directly implant knowledge into people's minds, but the information appeared so seamlessly that no one realized they had gained new knowledge until he explicitly pointed it out.
"Illya, you've been here before, haven't you? Don't you remember how to get back?"
Jiang You's presence was so unremarkable that Prisma Illya only now noticed him. She quickly recalled his appearance: "You're that kind big brother..."
Then she remembered the sensation of her Greatsword cleaving through human flesh. She almost prostrated herself. "Eee! I'm so sorry, Illya didn't mean to kill you! Please forgive me! I'll do anything to make you rest in peace!"
"So that's what you meant by 'being impure,' huh?"
When Ruby had formed a contract with Prisma Illya, the girl had kept calling herself a "bad child." Ruby had assumed she'd done something truly terrible.
"Don't worry, he's essentially a servant using a Class Card. Dying doesn't matter."
"Dying doesn't matter... seriously?"
Jiang You's Affection for the lecherous Scum Wand plummeted by a hundred points. "Can you two please focus and properly digest the knowledge that suddenly appeared in your minds?"
Jiang You wanted to give Ruby and Prisma Illya a good thrashing, but he had to abide by his own rules. Under Jiang You's "martial coercion," the two "people" finally finished reading the information provided by Jiang You's Noble Phantasms.
"This ability has already rewritten the rules," Ruby said with a meaningful tone. "It feels like it's about to transcend magic itself... More like the product of a Fusion between two great laws."
"That night," Ruby continued, "the Second Magician and the Third Magician were both completely drunk..."
