The student followed a narrow path along the cliff, apparently trying to reach higher ground.
Several sections of the rock were already marked unstable, but the student looked toward the valley instead of checking the ground beneath their feet.
"Cliff warning, Sector Stone-4," the technician reported.
A coordinator at the next station acknowledged him and opened the student's telemetry.
"How close?"
"About six meters from the unstable section. Still moving."
The coordinator activated a terrain warning through the student's token.
A moment later, the student stopped and looked down at the display on their wrist. After checking the cliff edge, they stepped away and began searching for another route.
The technician watched until the student reached stable ground.
"Warning acknowledged. They're turning back."
"Good. Keep that section flagged."
The coordinator closed the alert, and the technician returned to his normal monitoring duties.
