The party moved deeper into the forest floor of the dungeon.
With every step, the trees grew thicker and taller, their branches twisting together overhead. The sunlight that had once streamed freely through the canopy slowly faded, replaced by long shadows and a dim, emerald glow. The air became cooler, heavier, and strangely silent.
The deeper they went, the darker it became.
Leaves crunched softly beneath their boots. Somewhere in the distance, something rustled—but when they stopped to listen, there was nothing. Even the birds had vanished.
Mia hugged her staff a little closer.
"…It's getting creepy," she whispered.
Just as the darkness threatened to swallow the path entirely—
Light suddenly bloomed.
Soft glimmers appeared all around them, floating gently in the air like fireflies. The forest was instantly filled with a warm, glowing radiance, illuminating the trees, the roots, and the moss-covered ground in shades of blue and gold.
Everyone froze.
