As soon as Chen Bin arrived at the County Committee and County Government, he went to report in.

The section chief's name was Zheng Yifeng, in his thirties.

"Wow, how do you know Director Xu?"
"I asked for directions in the dorm yesterday, just exchanged a couple of words with her, which doesn't count as knowing her."
Chen Bin spoke truthfully, without hiding anything.
"So that's how it is, I thought you were very familiar."
At this point, Qian Lang glanced around.
After confirming there was no one else, he continued in a low voice: "If possible, try to cultivate a good relationship with Director Xu."
"Why?"
"Her husband is the head of the County Health Bureau, and her family background is extremely complex!"
Chen Bin nodded, thinking this made sense.
After all, in this era, it's not easy to make a name for oneself without some connections.
Upon arriving at the canteen, the two had just finished getting their food when a voluptuous woman approached.
She had a slim waist and long legs, and a notably ample bust.

Nodding, the woman extended her slender hand towards Chen Bin.
"Hi Chen Bin, I'm Dong Lili, you can call me Sister Lili."
With a dry laugh, Chen Bin immediately shook hands with her.
Dong Lili's fingers were incredibly soft and smooth; in terms of feel, they could almost rival Zhao Xinmei's.
"Hello, Sister Lili!"
After the greetings, Dong Lili didn't linger and left directly.
Watching her snake-like waist wiggle as she walked away, Qian Lang was entranced.
He spoke softly to Chen Bin: "In our entire County Committee and County Government, there are three 'bests,' do you know who they are?"
Chen Bin shook his head, full of confusion.
He had just arrived, how could he know?

Just as he said this, County Magistrate Sun Cheng walked into the canteen.
Qian Lang immediately greeted him.
"Hello, County Magistrate Sun!"
Seeing this, Chen Bin promptly followed suit.
"Hello, County Magistrate!"
Sun Cheng nodded at the two with a smile, and then headed upstairs.
Then, Chen Bin asked.
"Who's the most 'yellow,' you haven't told me yet."
Qian Lang spread his hands and replied with a laugh.
"I've already finished telling you."
Seeing his peculiar smile, Chen Bin instinctively glanced at Sun Cheng, who was heading upstairs.
Clearly, it all went unsaid!
After lunch, Chen Bin suddenly felt an urgent need, so he bid farewell to Qian Lang and headed to the restroom alone.
Just as he reached the restroom door, he ran into Wang Jun coming out.
Chen Bin greeted him quickly, "Hello, Secretary Wang!"
Wang Jun merely glanced at him without speaking.
His eyes full of disdain.
Damn it!
Chen Bin cursed inwardly and walked straight into the restroom.
Just as he squatted down in a stall, he heard two people coming in from the outside.
They were chatting away.
"Did you notice, Secretary Wang has been in a bad mood these past two days, I guess it's something to do with the promotion."
"It's rather strange, for someone so young to be in that position, he must have backers above. How come he wasn't involved in this post change?"
"Who knows, I bet he ticked someone off, although that's uncertain, because in officialdom, some things are quite mysterious."
Listening to their conversation, Chen Bin realized the reason behind Wang Jun's gloomy mien these days.
Though he didn't understand much about promotions, the first person that came to mind was his aunt Gao Wanjun.

Finished with the restroom, Chen Bin returned to the dormitory.
He had only sat down for a short while when there was a knock at the door.
Thinking it was Qian Lang without his key, Chen Bin immediately got up to open the door.
However, the sight that greeted him was of Dong Lili, whom he'd parted with not long ago in the canteen.
"Sister Lili, what are you doing here?"
Seeing Chen Bin's expression of surprise, Dong Lili simply smiled slightly.
"Who did you think it would be? Your little girlfriend?"
As she spoke, Dong Lili walked directly into the room and sat by Chen Bin's bed.
After closing the door, Chen Bin scratched his head awkwardly.
"Don't joke with me, I've never had a girlfriend, where would she come from?"
Just as he sat on the other side of the bed, Dong Lili moved to his side.
"What, are you scared of me?"
"No... no."
"Then why did you sit so far away from me just now?"
This question left Chen Bin unsure of how to respond.
Suddenly, as if unintentionally, Dong Lili placed her snowy, slender, jade-like hand on Chen Bin's thigh.
A strange feeling surged through him.
Just as Chen Bin was about to speak, Dong Lili suddenly asked.
"Chen Bin, what's your relationship with Secretary Wang?"
His heart skipped a beat, and Chen Bin instantly became alert.
He'd only been here for a day.
He hadn't seen much of Wang Jun at all.
How could she be asking this kind of question?
"What Secretary Wang, I don't even know him."
"Lying isn't what good kids do."
