His voice carried a suppressed, indescribable emotion. "Where did she go?"
Ou Mama spoke with deep concern in her tone. "She said she was staying over at a classmate's house tonight. What's going on between you and Xiyan?"
Ou Jue snapped out of his daze, lowered his eyes, and his long lashes cast a faint shadow on his resolute face.
He didn't directly answer Ou Mama's question, only responded lightly, "I know."
"What do you mean 'you know'? Did you two have a fight? Go and bring Xiyan back for me right now."
"Mom." Ou Jue interrupted Ou Mama, "I have something to handle here. I'll hang up now."
As soon as he finished speaking, he hung up the phone without hesitation.
Then, without delay, he immediately called Chi Cheng. "Did she go to your house?"
"Hm? Which 'she'?"
"Who do you think I mean?" Ou Jue's expression was blank.
"I don't know." Chi Cheng's voice dripped with teasing amusement.
Ou Jue took a deep breath. "Xia Xiyan."
