Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher lingered in the car for a long time before reluctantly getting out. After she got out, she didn't immediately walk toward the apartment but instead bent down to look at him inside the car, "You go back."
She waved to him in the car, signaling him to drive away first.
"I'll leave after I see you go inside."
Thomas Fisher didn't drive away first as Alice Turner suggested. Instead, he tilted his head to look at Alice standing outside the passenger side door. He wanted her to go in first; he wasn't willing to leave without seeing her enter.
If he wasn't worried about the negative impact on her if they were seen, he would have gotten out to escort her upstairs.
Alice wanted to say something more, but seeing Thomas's firm attitude, she didn't insist further and waved to him in the car. She straightened up and walked toward the apartment.
