Yan Sijue's throat tightened.
He knew Xiaoze was referring to... his other self.
"Xiaoze, I'm sorry," he said hoarsely.
"Daddy, it's not your fault," Xiaoze replied gruffly.
Yan Sijue gave a slight, bitter smile.
How can it not be?
Even though they were two different personalities, in essence, they were still the same person.
Xiaoze was still young, simply disliking the other self because of his ways.
But Mu Yiliang always understood that no matter who it was, it was him, a part of the former Yan Sijue. No matter what personality he had, she knew him well.
Since waking up from the last fever, his other self never appeared again. Perhaps due to self-punishment, or some other reason, in any case, his personality never switched again.
Sometimes Yan Sijue even felt that the other him might never appear again.
"Alright, let's go have breakfast," Yan Sijue put aside his thoughts and patted Xiaoze.
