Jerry felt very conflicted about his nickname, "Blood-nosed Rat."
On one hand, as the name given to him by others at the port, it wasn't exactly impressive, and the source of it still felt somewhat embarrassing to him.
The specific source was a gang fight three years ago, where he got punched by a muscular Half orc, breaking his nose. Even the dagger he was holding didn't manage to draw blood, and he passed out until the fight was over and his companions woke him up.
Later, when his brothers took him to the tavern for drinks, the blood under his nose wasn't wiped clean. Having grown up without parents and hungry in the alleys of the Saltwater District, he had never really eaten his fill, so by adulthood, he was a head shorter and skinnier than others, standing in the crowd like a rat. Thus, an adventurer at the next table gave him the nickname "Blood-nosed Rat."
