"Has anyone from the Howards Family visited these days?" Mabel Quinn asked. On the second day of her friend's hospitalization, she had already learned from Alice Conley about Alice's plan to marry Dorian Howards.
"No," Alice shook her head. "Dorian probably hasn't told his family about us yet." But she understood that with Dorian staying with her in the Hospital every day, the Howards Family couldn't possibly be unaware of her hospitalization. Moreover, since Dorian publicly announced at the press conference that he was going to marry her, a statement also reported by journalists, how could the Howards Family not know?
Now, Alice felt that it was more like the calm before the storm; perhaps the calmer things are now, the greater the obstacles they'll face in the future.
Then Alice chuckled, "Anyway, I'm going to be with Dorian, so as you said, I'll try to keep things simple. Once I'm out of the Hospital, I'll eventually meet the Howards Family members again."
