"No need," he said.
"Just a moment, sit tight!" she said, then turned and walked towards a waiter. After a moment, she returned with a cup of hot milk from the waiter, handed it to him, and said, "Here, drinking hot milk is better than lukewarm water."
He smiled, took the milk, and started drinking. The warm milk indeed made him feel much more comfortable, and the stabbing pain gradually disappeared. "Hot milk is indeed more effective," he said.
"You, don't push yourself so much just to accommodate me in the future," she said. Especially when she thought about how earlier, even though he was unwell, he had excused himself to the restroom to avoid her gaze, her heart suddenly felt a sharp pain. If she hadn't noticed, would he have just leaned against the wall, bearing it alone until the pain subsided or until he could endure it, before coming back to her and pretending nothing was wrong?
