Violet's heart felt warm, because Joseph didn't scold her son, but she still reached out and picked up the little troublemaker who'd caused the scene. Now that Robert had the slip of paper to play with, he stopped resisting.
Violet looked at Joseph with shy, timid eyes and scolded softly, "You're not allowed to spoil the child like this anymore, you'll end up spoiling Robert rotten!"
Joseph reached out and wrapped his fingers around her wrist, lifting his handsome face with a smile. "Robert is my son. If I don't spoil him, who would I spoil?"
"But you'll still have to get married someday. Once you have other children, you won't pamper Robert the way you do now!"
Just thinking about her younger uncle getting married and having kids in the future made Violet feel uncomfortable.
"Who said I'm going to get married?" Joseph asked back with a smile.
