After Sophie Foster walked out of Evander Lancaster's office with the nurse, Nicholas Croft finally spoke, looking at Evander with a serious expression, "Tell me, what's wrong with Lara, I can handle it."
Evander was amused by Nicholas's seriousness, and he opened the drawer again to take out the medical case file, pushing it in front of Nicholas, "Actually, it's not that serious, an ectopic pregnancy. Little Sophie is young, I'm afraid it'll scare her."
Hearing Evander's words, Nicholas visibly let out a breath. His long fingers slid the medical report in front of him and he skimmed through it; it was full of medical terms, but he clearly saw the words "ectopic pregnancy" and "surgery."
"When is the best time for surgery?" Nicholas asked, his gaze on Evander still looked heavy.
