Lyrate and I remained suspended above Abor, with the vast planet turning slowly beneath us, its surface now carrying the signs of everything we had built over the last few years. For a while, neither of us spoke. The preparations had been made, the forces had been gathered, and the decision to wage war against the Eternals had finally been placed before everyone.
Lyrate was the first to break the silence. "You have done everything you could for them," she said quietly, her gaze remaining on the planet below. "You gave them access to better environments, accelerated their training, strengthened their forces, and even gave them time to prepare. You could not possibly do more without taking control of their lives and making every decision for them."
She finally turned toward me. "But ultimately, whether we survive this or not still depends on you."
I remained silent for a moment before looking toward the endless void ahead.
"So where do you plan to go now?" she asked.
