Rakshasa as a plain body or giant made up of only flesh and bones, he was capable to travel through space itself until the time he revealed himself.
No exact time is mentioned that when did Rakshasa tragedy happened, but it was enough time for Rakshasa to reign over the chaos. Within this chaos, all world joined hands to uproot this monster until a handful of people were left.
Out of these handful people, some became sages you presently know, meanwhile some settles themselves. They noticed in the following years that Rakshasa's body was expanding at a rapid rate and due to all destruction, even nuclear weapons were used against these peoples who were messing with causality.
