The girls slowly started waking up after the elevator crash.
Jill: "Gah! I–Is everyone alright?!"
Bayonetta: "Not dead, at least."
Claire: "Wait, where's Sherry?!"
They looked around but saw no sign of the little girl.
Bayonetta: "She might've gotten scared and run off. Poor thing."
Claire: "We have to find her!"
The group stood up again and started moving carefully through the wrecked area. Jill pulled out her radio, trying to contact the others.
Jill: "Carlos? Y/N? Kai? Tyrell? Anyone? Do you hear me??"
No response.
Jill: "Damn it… it's not working."
They kept going until they found a lit room with a TV and a DVD player.
Claire: "What's that?"
Bayonetta: "Does it still work?"
Jill turned on the TV, put in the DVD, and a video started playing.
USS Soldier (on video): "Please… oh please… stop! Stop!"
Gunfire echoed. Another soldier was shown firing at the mutated Birkin — but the bullets had no effect. Birkin picked up a metal case and began devouring the samples inside.
USS Soldier: "Don't… don't… no… no… NO—!"
USS Soldier 2: "OVER HERE, YOU FREAK!!!"
USS Soldier: "Don't hurt him… don't hurt him!"
Birkin dropped the case and charged, slashing one of the soldiers clean across the wall. As the man fell dead, rats began swarming over the broken samples, eating the glowing liquid that had spilled.
The video ended on the shot of the rats scurrying into the shadows.
Bayonetta: "The virus… I bet those rats are what spread it."
Claire: "So you're saying the rats ate that crap, went into the sewers, and spread it until it reached the surface?"
Jill: "So it wasn't even intentional…"
Suddenly, they heard a woman's voice nearby.
???: "Sherry… I told you, I cannot leave here until my work is done."
Sherry: "That's what you always say!!"
Jill: "That voice…"
Claire: "Sherry…?"
???: "Why didn't you stay in the house? It was safe there."
The group moved to a window and saw Sherry looking up at a security camera.
Claire: "Hey! Sherry!"
Sherry: "I was scared! Those things were everywhere and—"
???: "You should've called the police! That's what we taught you!"
Sherry: "I did! But nobody came! And you didn't answer your phone, so—"
???: "Sherry, I don't have time for this!"
The camera turned off. Sherry suddenly grunted in pain and collapsed to the floor.
Claire: "Oh no… Sherry! SHERRY! I'm coming!" She bolted toward the door.
Jill & Bayonetta (together): "Claire, wait!" They followed after her.
They rushed through the door and arrived at a large waste disposal chamber. Claire tried pulling a nearby lever — nothing happened.
Claire: "Power must be out…"
Jill: "Always something, huh?"
They turned around and entered the room across the hall. Claire quickly found the generator and restored the power.
Claire: "That was easy."
Bayonetta: "I've got a bad feeling about this…"
As they moved to leave, a massive claw smashed down through the ceiling and tore the door apart.
Claire: "Oh, shit!"
Bayonetta: "And there it is…"
The fuel barrels nearby ignited, flames spreading across the room.
Jill: "Double damn it! Now the room's on fire!"
They dodged the monstrous claw as it struck down from above.
Bayonetta: "We really can't catch a break, huh!?"
Jill: "Shoot the claw!"
They fired at it, but the creature kept moving, slashing wildly. The fire was spreading fast, leaving them with nowhere to run.
At the last moment, the shutter behind them was ripped open, revealing their attacker in full view.
Jill: "Great… Birkin's back! And stronger than ever!"
Claire: "RUN!"
They sprinted down the hallways, turning corner after corner as the mutated Birkin chased them relentlessly. Finally, they burst onto a large platform suspended over an open shaft. Above them, a crane held a massive shipping container.
Bayonetta: "Alright, ladies — if we're taking this thing down, we do it together. Claire, can you operate that crane?"
Claire: "Yeah, I think so!"
Bayonetta: "Good. Jill and I will distract big ugly. When we shout now, you hit the button!"
Claire: "Understood!"
Claire took her position while Jill and Bayonetta faced the monster.
Jill: "I can't believe I'm saying this, but… Resident Evil Team, let's do it!"
Bayonetta: "Ha! I can already hear Y/N yelling, 'Told you it's a good name!'"
William Birkin lunged at them with a roar. The two women rolled out of the way, splitting apart to opposite sides of the platform. Jill fired her shotgun straight into Birkin's massive eye, while Bayonetta unloaded both pistols into his back.
It barely slowed him down. He swung again — Jill dodged, but his claws grazed her arm. Bayonetta took aim at his back eye and fired another volley.
The monster howled in pain, momentarily staggering.
Claire: "It's moving! Slowly…!"
Jill: "Come on! Just a little longer!"
Bayonetta threw a flashbang. The bright explosion stunned Birkin, forcing him to cover his eyes. That was all they needed.
The container swung hard — CRASH! — and slammed straight into Birkin, knocking him off balance and almost off the platform.
But he caught himself, claws digging into the metal.
Jill: "Not this time, bitch!"
She aimed at the crane's support cable and fired. The cable snapped, and both Birkin and the container plummeted into the dark void below.
Bayonetta: "Good job, ladies!!!"
The three of them high-fived, breathing hard but smiling.
Jill: "That's the power of girls!"
Together, they walked toward the next door, determined to save the youngest member of the Resident Evil team.
