Chapter 233 - CHAPTER 233

Uchiha Kiyo followed Konan all the way back to the Akatsuki base, with Obito remaining inactive during the journey.

Rain Country, Rain Nin Village.

After Hanzo's death, the entire Yuren Village fell under their control, establishing the Akatsuki base here.

After waiting a full day, no action was taken by Obito.

"Quite patient," Uchiha Kiyo muttered, but some people couldn't hold their temper.

The day after Konan returned with Nagato's body, Obito could no longer wait.

"Damn, that guy can wait, but I can't."

Obito was aware that Uchiha Kiyo likely coveted the eye of reincarnation. Although cautious not to let anyone interfere, Obito still required the Akatsuki organization. With Nagato's death, civil strife within Akatsuki was inevitable, and while Obito sought to satisfy his own desires with the eye of reincarnation, he also needed to deter the organization's members. Time was running out. Uchiha Kiyo could act at any moment, and this gave Obito little room to move.

Dusk approached.

On the turbulent river, Konan and Obito stood opposite one another.

"Just as I thought, you've got a problem," Konan's voice was indifferent.

Obito didn't respond. In the shadows, Uchiha Kiyo silently observed, ready to strike.

Despite Konan's lack of the enhanced abilities from the bloodlines, her Paper Jutsu had its own uniqueness. Konan's battle prowess was formidable, and her creation of the 600 billion detonating talismans was a trump card few could withstand.

Obito, relying on Izanagi, survived the detonation.

Konan, ever prepared, used her paper dance to evade Obito's Kunai. Her body turned into paper and reassembled at a distance.

At the same time, she strategically placed detonating talismans, catching Obito off guard. A violent explosion shredded part of his mask, and Obito began to reassess Konan's strength.

Obito had never truly understood her combat abilities, often seeing her only as Nagato's assistant. It was clear now that Konan's power was far greater than expected.

As the battle raged, Uchiha Kiyo felt the fight's intensity. His awareness honed, he sensed a subtle anomaly—the river's surface had risen by two meters. The source was clear: Konan had disguised her detonating talismans within the river. Not even Obito had noticed.

Uchiha Kiyo, skilled in Paper Jutsu himself, quickly discerned the danger. Konan's technique was brilliant—an entire river of detonating talismans, hidden under a guise.

Uchiha Kiyo admired the extent of Konan's development, especially after Hanzo's death. She had spent every day perfecting her jutsu in Yuren Village, and now it showed.

Sensing an opportunity amidst the chaos, Uchiha Kiyo sprang into action.

Using Chakra escape and spiritual perception, he pinpointed Nagato's location.

"Nagato's body is here!" he muttered.

With Obito and Konan locked in their fierce struggle, Kiyo patiently bided his time. As the battle reached its peak, he activated his technique.

After determining Nagato's position, Uchiha Kiyo teleported directly to the location, with chakra resonating in the air around him.

Obito, aware of Uchiha Kiyo's ability, anticipated his move. Though he couldn't pinpoint Kiyo's exact location, he knew the chakra shift meant something was afoot. Obito also recognized Kiyo's perceptive abilities.

Uchiha Kiyo's chakra dispersion technique was the key. His method of escaping detection by dispersing chakra allowed him to find Nagato, but Obito was waiting for just this moment.

As Uchiha Kiyo reached Nagato's body and began extracting the right eye, Obito reacted swiftly, kunai in hand. However, Kiyo had anticipated this and used his Body Flicker Technique to evade the attack.

In the midst of their exchange, Uchiha Kiyo seized Nagato's left eye and quickly attempted to retreat.

But Obito's technique disrupted Kiyo's plan, blocking his attempt to teleport. Uchiha Kiyo found himself stuck, unable to escape.

Before he could react, Obito teleported in front of him, intent on taking Nagato's left eye. Uchiha Kiyo vanished once again and reappeared with the reincarnation eye firmly in hand.

For the first time, Uchiha Kiyo encountered a space blockade. This restricted teleportation, forcing him to confront Obito directly. Obito, unaware of the severity of the situation, mocked the move.

"The space jutsu still works inside the barrier?" he sneered.

Uchiha Kiyo, more serious than ever, realized the situation had changed. Konan had set up this space blockade specifically to counter their space-time jutsu.

"Space blockade," Uchiha Kiyo whispered. He began to understand the gravity of the situation.

"It's no longer just about the eye of reincarnation. It's about survival."

Konan's intentions became clear: both of them would have to fight within the constraints of her barrier, a tactic designed to neutralize space-based ninjutsu. She had planned this meticulously.

Obito's face darkened as the stakes escalated. "Dammit, Uchiha Kiyo, you won't win this time."

The air crackled as Uchiha Kiyo intensified his focus. The battle was far from over.
