Once she was gone, Ophis glanced down at Zephyr with mild curiosity.
"Are you interested in the Fate Weavers, dear?"
Zephyr's eyes immediately brightened.
"Yes, Grandma! Their stories are really interesting."
Then his excitement faded slightly, and a hint of sadness appeared on his face.
"I just think they're pitiful."
Ophis raised an eyebrow.
"Oh?"
Zephyr nodded.
"They were treated unfairly by the world despite never doing anything wrong. Most of them only wanted to live a Fulfilling life, yet they were feared, hunted, and blamed for things that weren't their fault."
For a moment, silence filled the room.
Then Ophis gently stroked his hair.
"My dear, the world has never been fair."
Her voice remained calm, but there was an ancient wisdom hidden within it.
"Fairness is a luxury enjoyed by the strong. If you wish to be treated fairly, you must possess the power to demand that fairness yourself."
Her obsidian eyes gazed out across the endless skies beyond the library.
"And if someone becomes powerful enough, they can be as unfair as they wish. The weak may hate it, but they will still smile and accept it because they lack the strength to resist."
Zephyr fell silent.
He knew his grandmother was not trying to be cruel.
She was simply stating a truth she had witnessed countless times throughout her endless life.
After thinking for a moment, he nodded.
"I understand, Grandma."
There was a resolute look in his golden eyes.
A look that showed he had taken her words to heart.
Ophis studied him for a few moments before suddenly smiling.
A smile so gentle and loving that few beings in existence would ever believe it belonged to the Dragon Goddess of Infinity.
"Fufu. Although, I don't think You need to worry about that, my love."
Zephyr tilted his head.
"Why?"
"Because nobody would dare treat you unfairly."
The smile on her face remained warm and affectionate.
"If anyone ever tried, I would personally dice them into a thousand pieces."
The terrifying declaration was delivered with such tenderness that it almost sounded like a loving promise.
Zephyr stared at her.
Then he stared a little longer.
Finally, he could only reveal a helpless smile.
At that moment, he silently offered a prayer for his future enemies.
May they at least be granted a quick and painless death.
Unfortunately, knowing his grandmother, even that seemed highly unlikely.
....
A Fate Weaver was a being born with the ability to influence fate itself.
The threads of fate and karma around them bent unnaturally, causing the destinies of those nearby to shift in unpredictable ways. Some experienced incredible fortune, while others were plagued by misfortune.
More often than not, however, Fate Weavers inadvertently brought calamity to those around them.
Even if they didn't do anything most of the time they get hated for no reason and are hunted down if they are exposed and because of being hunted down they are most of the times filled with hate towards the world and commit many Massacre.
There heavenly tribulations are also Destructive or Annihilative in nature.
Yet the Heavens were impartial.
Where misfortune existed, opportunity was never far behind.
Those who endured the trials brought about by a Fate Weaver often emerged stronger than before, gaining blessings, opportunities, and fortunes that would have otherwise remained out of reach.
Throughout history, countless Fate Weavers had appeared across the universe, but the first ten were remembered as the most powerful and dangerous of them all. Their influence was so profound that some had even incurred Divine Punishment from the Heavens themselves and somehow survived to tell the tale.
Because of their terrifying abilities, Fate Weavers were both feared and hated.
Entire sects and empires hunted them relentlessly. Killing a Fate Weaver granted karmic virtue, a precious blessing that greatly aided cultivators during Heavenly Tribulations.
As a result, many saw them not as people, but as walking disasters—or valuable prey.
After Thena returned with the requested book, Zephyr immediately began reading.
The thick tome contained countless stories, records, legends, and anecdotes about Fate Weavers throughout history—their achievements, tragedies, victories, and downfalls.
Zephyr quickly became absorbed in its contents.
As someone who had spent countless hours reading novels in his previous life, these stories were irresistible. Every page revealed another extraordinary life filled with impossible struggles and breathtaking adventures.
In his last life he was not a very social type of guy though not to say he didn't have any friends or girlfriend, he was definitely not a social butterfly.
He felt that Only two or three true friends were all he needed in his life better than having many fake friends who didn't care much about him in his time of need.
To him, books and Novels were more addictive than any treasure.
Behind him, Ophis sat quietly, one arm wrapped around her grandson while gently stroking his hair. From time to time, she would place a kiss atop his head, smiling as she watched him read with complete concentration.
His serious expression made him look incredibly adorable in her eyes.
After a while, Ophis spoke.
"As the bearer of the Heavenly Dragon Body, you are naturally immune to a Fate Weaver's ability to distort fate and spread misfortune."
Zephyr looked up from the book.
"Really?"
Ophis nodded.
"Not only are you unaffected, but your presence can actually stabilize their fate. The chaotic fluctuations surrounding them become calmer whenever they are near you."
Zephyr's eyes widened.
"Do you know any Fate Weavers personally, Grandma?"
"Yes," Ophis replied. "Though I only paid attention to the truly remarkable ones. The weaker Fate Weavers were never interesting enough for me to meet."
"Then please tell me about some of them!"
Ophis chuckled.
"Fufu. Of course I will."
She leaned back slightly before continuing.
"Though there exists Fate Weavers who are interesting and Strong enough for even Greater Realms to take them seriously and not Slight them for no apparent reasons."
"Let me tell you about one Fate Weaver who survived Divine Punishment from the Heavens themselves, though the price she paid was immense."
Zephyr immediately sat up straighter.
"She survived? Even after Divine Punishment?"
"Indeed."
"What happened to her?"
"Her cultivation path was crippled."
Zephyr blinked.
"Then how did she survive after that?"
"Hmm..."
A rare look of admiration appeared in Ophis' eyes.
"She was an anomaly. Even I was somewhat surprised when I first encountered her."
"She was born to a Greater Realms Ruler and his wife, when she was born due to her special Physique she was unable to cultivate, her parents still loved her and didn't mistreat her. Later through her own Comprehension of laws and Will to Cultivate and make her parents proud."
"During the Mortal Realms, she accomplished something that should have been impossible."
"What was it?" Zephyr asked eagerly.
"She created the foundation of a universe within her cultivation core."
Silence filled the room.
Zephyr stared at her in disbelief.
Even with his inherited memories, he understood how absurd that sounded.
Ophis continued.
"After that, she advanced at a speed that shocked the entire universe. She reached the Immortal King Realm in record time and became one of the strongest Immortal Kings in existence."
"Her invincible streak continued all the way to the peak of the Empyrean Realm."
"When she attempted to break through into the Divine Immortal Realm, she faced the Celestial Transcendent and the Thirteen Paragon Beasts during her tribulation."
Zephyr's eyes nearly popped out of his head.
"And she still succeeded?"
"She did."
Ophis nodded calmly.
"However, because she had already laid the foundation of a universe during the Mortal Realms, the Heavens deemed her existence too abnormal."
"So Divine Punishment descended."
"She survived... but only by sacrificing her future path of cultivation."
"After this She left the Greater Realm She was born in to search for something that could heal her and Give her chance to restore her Cultivation."
Zephyr listened with rapt attention.
The woman's life sounded like the story of a protagonist from one of the power-fantasy novels he had devoured in his previous life.
An impossible genius.
An unrivaled monster.
Someone who repeatedly accomplished what others considered impossible.
An existence that was too overpowered from the start.
Wait...
Zephyr suddenly froze.
Isn't that suspiciously similar to me?
He wisely kept that thought to himself.
Instead, he looked up at Ophis and asked,
"What was her name, Grandma?"
"Her name?" Ophis repeated thoughtfully.
A faint smile appeared on her lips.
"Most people knew her by her title."
"The Galaxy Master."
"The Creator of Realms."
Then Ophis' gaze drifted toward the horizon as she spoke the legendary Fate Weaver's true name.
"GaiaCosmos — The Sole User of the Law Of Creation."
