Reed's POV:
Banshees.
The mere thought of them made my stomach churn. They were the worst kind of supernatural creature—evil incarnate. And I wasn't just saying that because I hated magic and everything it represented. Even compared to witches, who were already some of the most twisted beings I'd ever encountered, the banshees were pure malice. Their very existence was a curse to anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path.
You see, I might be immune to most types of magic—especially the kind that could harm me—but not to the sadistic nature of a banshee. No one was. The way they twisted your mind, played with your deepest fears and your guilt—it was hell. It wasn't just the physical terror they brought—it was the mental torment that left you a husk of yourself, incapable of distinguishing between your worst nightmares and reality.
