Hey guys, this is for you if you want to keep track of who's who. But also, it's for my sanity, because I'm bad with names! Some of the questions below I haven't answered yet myself, and others I just put in because I'm waiting for some sort of reveal.
But importantly, don't read this chapter unless you've already read up to the chapter number in the title! The number will usually be the final currently released chapter, but sometimes it will be a bit lower. If it ever is lower, feel free to comment and let me know, so that I get a notification and can remember to update it.
The city- Mobile Defense Force
The Academy- Twelve main buildings, Building Four has ten huge rooms, Building Eleven has 130+ office-type rooms, and Building Twelve is unknown. A coloseum-like assembly pit set into the ground. Feast Hall separate, breakfast eaten in the field. The field is central to the construction. Many men elevated beyond their experience for illusion of fairness.
Uniform- white shirt, badges over right breast, dark blue bottom (pants or long skirt)
Characters-
Hashim Kamal- MC, student at the Academy, well-known by now.
Xavier- Not Jake. A bit too distracted by certain things.
Jake- Not Xavier. And that's his best quality. The top-tier social interaction guy! Out of the two... But anyway! His ability does something now. We still aren't sure what.
Toon- Really smart! Like, probably too smart. Yeah, that won't be a problem in the future, right? Anyway, his exact ability is unknown, but it can give him access to files and written material that he can't physically access. "Every ability is an organ. Some just don't know how to use it."
Corpse- Hashim's resident pessimist! He never lets the life leave the party, because with him around the party can't get any life in the first place! Seems to know a bit too much. Maybe he's just a part of the local night life?
Hashim- What exactly does he do? We don't know. He sort of manages the other personalities? His ability is unknown, but it seems to be some form of distraction or perception manipulation to make people gloss over his presence, or absence, as the case may be. Activating it also slows down his body's functions, causing him to process poison slower and the like. It's been useful, but not as useful as you might think. Miss Rose seemed able to bypass the first part easily enough. Strange. I wonder why?
Bunny- Banished to the Deep Consciousness. We don't know much, but something bad happened when he got control. Xavier used to like him, but not anymore. Apparently he's worse than Xavier, and also good with people? I shudder to think what that might mean. I had a hard time just writing Xavier's encounters. I hope Bunny never comes back.
Regus- A fusion of Jake and Hashim, comes about when they activate their ability together. He has a powerful presence, some might even say a regal one. He also has his own ability, a simple power-storing, ability-stealing one. Sort of the thing that you see in lots of novels about OP MCs where everyone has different abilities. I wonder how Regus's is unique?
Anguis- A fusion of Xavier and Hashim, created by Xavier through future projection into Hashim's mind. He's the fusion's social guy, and his current concern is General Ardena. His ability is fueled by the power of the sun, which he absorbs and can output, but not utilize for any specific effect. Released power will magnify anything put into it, and it had been used to make his voice carry farther than it usually would.
Gensa- A fusion of Toon and Hashim. He just sort of... formed. His presence has been known for a while. He hasn't had control of the body yet, so there's no way to know his ability... right? He

Professor Jane Scotch- led the first class of Miscellaneous Experiences, where Hashim was introduced to the Ralkamester, also has the second most feminine hands, according to Corpse
Lady L- Unknown. Has the most feminine hands, according to Corpse, doesn't clap
Professor Lillian Sky- Lillian to Regus, who doesn't like to acknowledge others' authority over him. Loves bows, teaches second field session (weapons fighting, for now)
Mr. Carmane- principal, called Ricochet
Miss Rose- I refuse to write the most important part of this description. She is an avid botanist, and creates her own homemade plant grenades that had incredibly unique properties. Confronted with Hashim discovering Intent and Xavier being arrogant, she was defeated and submitted to them after having her ability removed.
Captain Rekhard- Former military, leads first field session, sometimes lets students take charge but less than other teachers, most rigid and formal professor, enjoys contests of strength and showing off his power (fifth tier strength enhancement). His ability heats up the body a lot, and extended or intense use causes blood to boil. On his body, it is released through pores that the ability has caused to form. When Regus steals it, it causes temporary partial paralysis in the concentrated area.
Professor Inteugo- Teaches Applied Energy, one of the only people who respects those with weaker abilities, ability to remotely detonate things, dark blue forearms, owns and works in the asylum for people who are driven insane by their abilites.
Professor Rengala- female, teaches Energistics Analysis
Headmistress Elvira-Princess before the king was stricken with an unknown disease and died a day after the doctors came. After that, with her mother in mourning, she took control of the palace in the absence of the crown prince, who was regulating some rebellious peasants in the west at the time. Because of this, Elvira already ruled the continent in all but name by the time she awakened her powers, and then she swept into Crucitress as soon as she heard about it, quickly rising to the top and then proposing the idea of the Academy. All of this only served to strengthen her hold on the power of the continent, and when the crown prince returned, he found that his status had been stripped from him. Just before she had died, the queen named Elvira the ruler of the continent in the place of her husband and the crown prince, who she saw as having abandoned them to their strife. Anguis suspects that either the princess herself or an admirer purposely initiated this sequence of events. Elvira renounces the marriage, claiming it as a crutch for the weak.
Abigail Williams- Smart but weak. With nothing but a low tier fire ability and no particular physical achievements or strength, she made her way into the Academy on academic merit alone. She's incredibly observant, able to recognize which personality Hashim is within around thirty seconds, and can discern when he changes. Wonder why everyone else can't. Huh. What's special about Abigail?
Summer Class- She's got a powerful ability. I wonder what exactly it is. She's not allowed to use it on campus, so it must be very destructive. Then again, it didn't really cause any destruction when she used it on Hashim. It mostly just stunned everyone. Is she a walking stun grenade, or something more? Does her ability have more to it?
James Callway- He's also got a powerful ability. It is also restricted on campus, and we also don't know what his is. He seems to be the head, or at least a section leader, of some sort of criminal organization. Or a mafia boss, if you would prefer it said that way. But then again, that is just speculation.
John Stan- Probably one of the most intriguing characters aside from Hashim himself. He covers most of his body, especially the right side, and walks with a limp. Though it seems like he runs without one, at least from the description of the race, where it wasn't mentioned. Who knows? He's pretty ridiculously strong, or otherwise can use his ability without Hashim sensing, or I should say without Regus sensing it. Peter's older brother and role model.
Peter Stan- John's younger brother, his energy generation is much greater than the amount of energy he can channel in a certain amount of time. He appears to look up to John. We'll see what happens with his theoretically infinite energy channeling.
Rowan Carter- Used to be a jerk. Now he realizes that he's much better off obeying Regus than provoking him. Fire ability, decently strong.
Samantha- A girl in Hashim's entourage? She probably has an ability. Everyone does... Right? She hasn't used it yet. Regus thinks she might be one of a group called the Hunters, which is a sort of cult who refuses to use abilities, instead relying on weaponry such as bows. The original Hunters used hunting bows, because with strict regulations that favored the strong, they couldn't get any real weapons. And of course, they're all women, because just a year or so before this story started, only women could gain abilities, and there's no point in being in an anti-ability group if you don't have an ability.
Antigone- one of the girls in Hashim's group in Inspired Logistics, ability is sixth tier ice formation, black hair in a ponytail that goes past her waist, black sash -left shoulder to right hip-, was on the bottom ring of seats during orientation
Nura- the other girl in Hashim's group in Inspired Logistics, ability is fourth tier shadow manipulation, about twice as many badges and taller than Antigone, orange hair,
