Meili found herself in front of her husband's quarters and she sighed, she wandered why he left her all of a sudden. He had kissed her neck again, taking longer than the first one, when she sat on him and his cold breath tickled her skin, causing her to shiver and her body descended in the process. She stared at the table with wide eyes and thought she would probably fall face first and then…would come the mockery! But then, she felt him grab her waist before bringing her up again swiftly only to burry his face in her neck again with a groan, like he couldn't get enough of her scent or even her body because his hands were admiring her waist and thighs.
Meili blushed harder when she entered the room with the view of Achelous lying on the huge bed with just covers…..
Her embarrassment turned when she came near his form, he was sweating profusely like he was sick and his pale skin was now reddish and that wasn't normal, she didn't need anyone to tell her, her husband had a pale skin that glowed up under the moon.
She sat beside him and touched his forehead with shaky hands and she rechecked him again thinking she had increased temperature because of her bad thinking…..
Meili was now certain Achelous was burning up and she panicked, she tried to wake him up by shaking him and he didn't respond. Her eyes wandered the room to get something, she was not sure but she had to save her husband, high body temperature could kill and she was aware of that.
She came back with a towel and a bowl of cold water from the bathroom and climbed into the huge bed where Achelous laid and turned him over, he didn't resist, just laid on his back breathing softly as she made him feel the coldness of the wet towel, he sighed as she moved on his forehead. Meili marveled at his beauty from his long white hair to his body and gasped when he opened his eyes at a point.
" You're playing with fire, princess " he spoke weakly, his eyelids threatening to collapse back on his beautiful irises, Meili had dropped the cold towel on his chest, not missing his glowing peal in his chest and he gasped loudly, his nails dag into the sheets as his whole body shook. The towel was steaming up like it had touched fire and Meili staggered backwards, falling off the bed in process.
" A-are….you okay! I should call someone, I - I shouldn't have come here, I-I shouldn't have t-touched you I —
"Shhhh!….come, princess " he said, after he managed to turn over his side, his hair falling to the left slowly and he smiled at her. Meili looked like she was seeing things and her jaws dropped, to think about, he had never smiled like this to her, he was looking surreal and her body moved against her will, just moving unconscious of herself as she was swallowed by the beauty of a man….NO!
A God! a hot one at that, his blue eyes has turned grey as he stroked her jawline, she didn't blink at him, just stared at him in a daze as he pulled her in his embrace and her body didn't resist Meili laid down with Achelous behind her, his arms encircling her waist as he whispered the words…" no need to call anyone, just stay here with me…..like this "
She just laid there with him, his warm body warming her up as well and felt him burry his face in her neck, like he wanted to find comfort in her scent of sunflower mixed with something he couldn't figure but he loved it, it was a perfect combination and he moaned behind her ear, telling her she was responsible for this and had to heal him and with that, she blushed! Thanking her gods her back was facing him but his lips were giving her a different feeling altogether.
" You are stiff….princess " his voice was low and she stiffened even more when Achelous pulled her closer his chest pressed her back and her eyes widened when she felt something poke her from behind. " Do I disgust you that much?" He asked her and she found herself staring at his confused face
"I— I umm…" She didn't know what to say and he frowned even more, his pointed ears moved along with his expression and her attention divided again, her lips parted as she marveled at his beauty again and her eyes widened when she felt his breath against her lips, she could smell wine and spice.
" this is surely one of your many duties…princess or, you don't agree?" He asked with a raised brow, it was so perfect and she didn't know what to say, Meili found herself touching his cheek and he lowered even more, her fingers played with the perfect hair on the side of his face and he groaned when her fingers made its way to his pointed ears and he grabbed her hand roughly and she gasped giving him the chance to steal a kiss from her and their blue thread glowed under the moon.
Achelous sucked on her lower lip softly, his grip on her hand had dropped to her her waist and he squeezed her softly, earning a gasp from her again and he bit on her lip lightly, gaining her attention again. She stared at him in a daze and he pecked her lips before letting them go, with a frustrated sigh. " You are not kissing me back princess….. I wonder why?" He whispered on her lips, his breath intoxicating her the more as she found herself in a daze again, stronger than before.
Meili blushed at his words and wondered when they had started becoming close, was it when she had agreed to play along! She winced when he bit her lower lip again, it had reddened up but did not bleed.
" Do you want to know why I'm like this" Achelous asked her out of the blue and she found herself nodding, does not understand what he was talking about yet she nodded anyway and he smiled softly, knocking out her breath. " My wine was spiked….Think about it, even though as much as I want to be with you, to touch you, to do all crazy things to you, to make you mine even against my will…. I retired to my bed and you're still here!" He said and Meili stared at him in confusion.
He touched her slightly swollen lips with his thumb, feeling how soft it was under his touch. Nix was now threatening to come out and unleash chaos yet Achelous had shut him out, it was not easy and he shivered out of the impact and Meili tried to sit up, which was difficult because of their position. Achelous shook his head at her before he sneaked his left arm around her waist again and pulled her into a sitting position…. Straddling would be right and she gasped.
"See what you are doing to me ….princess?"
Achelous said in her ear, his voice hoarse as he found his control slipping from his hand, when he kissed her left ear, unconsciously licking it and she moaned suddenly. Meili covered her mouth in embarrassment and hid her face away behind her hand, she was feeling his hard groin that took the liberty in enlarging with every second strangely….she now felt uncomfortable because it was poking below her abdomen and Achelous was not willing to let her go anytime soon or maybe he was not the one currently smooching her.
The next morning, Achelous sat in the dining room even before the people started entering for their breakfast as usual and they stood still when they saw him with a huge smile on his face with his eyes twinkling like stars as he stared at them back like he meant no harm….
At all, " Hope you slept well, after what you did? " he said harmlessly with a grin, " Now, who would like to talk first!" He said as he cracked the bone in his fingers as if he was patiently waiting for who to talk.
