"Sir…" One of the guards approached me; he was seemingly worried.
His body no longer looked human, as he had undergone full transformation; his arms had split into four tentacles, and his head had seemingly melted into a red fluid where his eyes would float, contained by a weird cylinder that merged out of his neck made out of his bones.
He walked hunched forward with a thin cloak covering most of his body; in each tentacle he was holding a different firearm.
"Hold the enemy until I finish the preparations." I ordered as I got down on one knee and closed my eyes.
I started preparing for the fight, placing both hands on the floor and injecting demonic energy into the ground so that it could permeate every wall, ceiling, floor, and object within the immense floating island.
First rule of the dominion… Mmh, what could I put… Once you've entered the space, you cannot exit it in any way. Second rule, the limit of speed at which anything can move is limited to my top speed, which would be roughly 400 km/h.
I could hear chaos unfolding within the room, firearms being shot in all directions; some even came dangerously close to me.
As for the limit to the strength, I will also choose the maximum output of strength I can unleash; this should be the baseline. No one will be allowed to be faster or stronger than me in my domain.
When I opened my eyes, I saw the guards currently engaging in a fight against just three individuals, one wearing a mechanical suit of armor and a couple using demonic powers and artifacts.
The one weaving a light blue and yellow mechanical suit could move at incredible speed; he was probably capable of going even faster, but because of the domain, he was limited to my top speed. He wielded a couple of strange energy blades that shot out pure energy blasts whenever he swung them.
The other two took very different shapes; one was seemingly slowly melting, as if his entire body was made of wax, had around six pupils and six irises, and his body was emptied out of all of his organs, which were all encased in a ball of glass floating behind him.
The other was a girl, wearing a thin veil to cover up her private parts, with provocative tattoos spread all over her body, including just above her crotch. Her legs had changed shape and resembled that of a deer, she had a large horn over her head, and she had many tentacles growing back.
The man made of steel was throwing many objects at me while running in circles, while the other two were fighting the guards, who were doing their best to protect me.
I summoned my chains, wrapped them around my arm, and put them over my knuckles as I charged towards the woman who was currently showing her back to me.
I kept my ears focused on keeping track of the position of the speedster, and just as I was about to land the first blow, I was pushed out of the way by the wax guy.
As soon as he made contact with me, the other end of the chains wrapped around his left arm and rapidly crushed it, making the wax spill all over the floor.
Mhh, he's a lot faster than I anticipated, and he's incredibly silent; he might be the most dangerous of the three.
I then took out my pocket watch, and by changing the position of the lances, I summoned the artifact my nephew created using his own powers.
It's likely they know about my abilities, so let's see just how fast they can adapt to this.
I merged the two chains and began spinning the spiked ball. The speedster tried to get to me, but he was cornered by the bodyguard and was hit by their projectiles, costing him his left hand, as his suit was capable of creating a special barrier through a device installed in the hands of the user.
I threw the ball at the wax guy, who completely melted his body in response. As soon as he did so, a few guards shot freezing bullets in his direction; he quickly moved out of the way while being constantly fired at by the firing squad.
I didn't even give him time to respond and controlled the chain from a distance by swinging the massive, constantly accelerating ball at him until it was too fast for him to react and hit him square in the chest.
The blow sent the intruder flying towards the ground, where he was then met with a barrage of freezing as well as cursed projectiles, and with his body unable to return to the liquid form, I was able to swiftly shatter his face, killing the intruder on the spot.
The lady was already dealt with; her body was on the ground crawling and begging for mercy as the cursed bullets were slowly making her go insane.
The speedster was trying to somehow reach the power generators but couldn't, as he had no way of getting close without getting shot by the many guards that were standing on them, comfortably shooting at him to no end because they wielded demonic weapons.
He then tried to cross the portal where he came from only to crash and splatter his body all over the facility.
"Someone, bring the other corpse to a containment zone; I'll deal with the rest." I ordered as I wrapped my chains around the girl, sealing off her powers, all the while keeping her pinned to the ground.
The facility had suffered very little damage; what worried me were the portals that were still open and connected to who knows where.
I was about to remove the domain I had set up so that I could inspect it when suddenly the portal cracked. I could tell it wasn't done on purpose; a strange energy was messing with it, and before I knew it, the same energy began to overwhelm the entire floating island.
Fucking hell, now what?
The entire facility trembled; when the first wave crashed, it felt as if we were struck by a meteor. Everything was quaking; the first shock made everyone fall to the ground, and even after that, the facility kept trembling as if it was about to snap and rip apart at any moment.
I immediately teleported outside the facility on the roof to inspect what was going on, only to see a wave of light as the source of such overwhelming energy. It came from Robert's house, and its ripples were changing everything they touched.
What the… is that… little Lucy?
I could vaguely tell he was sleeping at the very base of that pillar of light so arrogantly piercing the skies.
Above us I could see the skies being ripped apart, fractures forming in the skies, and from them many long and extremely skinny arms were emerging, reaching out for the light.
It was something never seen before.
I saw his mother using her powers to create a bubble around him to suppress the light and contain the massive amount of energy being dispersed in the surrounding area. It matched the report; this was the same phenomenon that happened many hours earlier.
When the light disappeared, those ominous hands stretched backward, going back where they came from, not to run away, but to use their strength to stretch open the large fracture in the skies so that the eye of a giant creature could emerge and inspect us. I could see it had skin covered in scales and didn't have eyelids, and the creature was so big that just one of his eyes was big enough to fill the space of the fracture.
It possessed unmatched quantities of demonic power; I never once felt so insignificant before, but that creature was above anything to have ever been measured before.
I need to protect my sons… but the facility…
Without wasting a single more second, I teleported back home; as soon as I got in, I connected to locate them by their demonic scent. They were being moved, surrounded by many powerful beings.
Good, they're with the bodyguards.
I rushed to their position; as soon as they saw me, they came rushing to my arms, so I quickly transported everyone back to my office, only to then abandon them and head back to the roof of the island. With the method of transportation of the enemies compromised, the only remaining threat was that giant thing looming over our heads.
Can I beat it? Never in a million years, but if it somehow decides to attack this way, I've got to at least try to deflect the attack. Come at me whenever you're ready, you goddamn beast! I'm ready whenever you are.
I was taking deep breaths as I detached the weapon Lucy made and stored it away, then witnessed as my brother emerged from his house, riding a wave of his own blood, charging at the beast.
That fool, what the hell is he doing?
The demon, with the blink of its eye, released a shockwave that sent him flying back to the ground.
I saw the many arms multiply in numbers as many more would emerge; they would stretch the Fracture more and more.
Shit!
I had no way of reaching that far; unfortunately, I had no way of safely reaching that altitude, no way of flight. Maybe with the chains I could try something, but that would cost me too much energy to pull off, so I summoned and transformed part of my throat to create a second mouth there and summoned the Blue Pipe, a demonic power that granted me power the longer I inhaled its fumes.
I don't think I have enough time to properly charge this, but I don't have much choice.
Then, the eye stopped looking at the city and turned its gaze towards the facility.
