Chapter 75 - The Capital.

Chapter 75

The team moved at incredible speeds, racing past destroyed villages that were still burning.

Demons swarmed through these broken towns—mindless creatures that acted more like wild animals than soldiers.

According to their intelligence, these were just low-level demons, easy to kill one by one.

But fighting them endlessly would waste precious time they didn't have.

The only real way to stop them was to seal the Demon Leader.

Once he was dealt with, all these lesser demons would be forced back to wherever they came from.

But for now, the team's top priority was protecting the princess and the Queen.

Anyone with weaker cultivation would simply die here.

In truth, that was their own fault for being too weak to survive.

The demons grew thicker the closer they got to the Capital city.

The team weaved through them for hours, dodging attacks but never stopping to fight.

Soon they reached the Capital and climbed a massive tree that overlooked everything.

Below them stretched a nightmare.

Countless demons moved toward the Capital walls like a dark flood.

The city itself spread across 100 kilometers—huge by normal standards, though it seemed small compared to their Hidden City of Sky, which was 300 kilometers across.

Most kingdoms had cities between 60 and 150 kilometers, so the Capital was still impressive.

Massive walls blocked the demon advance, but the attack was organized. High Demons—each equal to a 5-star Cultivator—led the assault.

Ten of them commanded one thousand demons each, attacking from five different directions.

Every side had two High Demons and two thousand demons pushing forward.

Ethan's expression turned serious. "Listen closely. I won't repeat myself."

Everyone nodded and put on their masks.

"Kaya, support the east gate. Kill as many as you can and take down the High Demons. The soldiers and semi-cultivators can handle the rest." He turned to Lucas. "Lucas, take the center. Destroy them all."

Lucas nodded firmly.

"Austin, you have the west side. I'll take the south." He glanced toward the remaining direction. "That side... they'll have to hold until we finish."

Ethan pulled his mask down. "Disappear."

In an instant, they vanished, moving at lightning speed toward their positions.

Austin and Ethan had farther to go, but they would reach soon enough.

The soldiers fighting below were mostly semi-cultivators—people who had learned cultivation outside the Hidden Cities using poor methods.

Their mana cores were smaller and less dense, making them weaker than their ranks suggested.

Those supposed 5-star Cultivators throwing spells and charging into battle actually fought more like 3-stars or 4-stars.

True 5-star power was something else entirely.

Kaya reached the east battlefield in minutes.

Explosions rang out everywhere, shaking the ground beneath her.

[Lightning Spell: Lightning Body]

Lightning crackled across her skin, boosting her speed to 75 meters per second.

She pulled out two kunai knives and leaped into the sky, crossing the huge distance to the battle in seconds.

[Lightning Spell: Lightning Strike]

Lightning intensified along her blades as she pointed them down.

She crashed into the ground right where a High Demon watched over its forces.

BOOOOMMMM

The explosion sent lesser demons flying like rag dolls.

When the dust cleared, two shadows emerged—the High Demon holding a great sword, its red skin gleaming.

Two horns rose from its head, and its eyes were like bottomless pits.

It smiled and spoke in a guttural, unknown language, but Kaya understood the meaning:

Give me a good fight.

In a blink, it appeared before her.

She crossed her arms to block, but the strike's force would have destroyed a normal person completely.

Kaya flew backward through the air, but mid-flight she cast another spell.

[Lightning Spell: Volt Needles]

Thin bolts pierced the demon's flesh, causing localized paralysis.

It only lasted a second, but that was enough.

Kaya found her footing, killed a lesser demon in her path, and dashed forward again.

The demon burned mana to break free of the paralysis and cast its own spell.

[Demonic Fire Spell: Great Fire Balls]

Huge fireballs of dark red energy rushed toward Kaya. Her eyes focused sharply as she activated her Pure Eyes ability.

[Lightning Spell: Bolt Barrages]

Dozens of lightning bolts shot out in all directions, focused mostly on striking the fireballs and destroying them.

At the center of the chaos, Kaya and the demon clashed.

Every strike carried immense power, their movements too fast for anyone watching to follow.

Ting ting ting ting ting ting ting

Boom boom boom boom boom boom

Lesser demons died in the crossfire.

The two fighters seemed evenly matched—until suddenly Kaya dropped her blades.

She ducked under the demon's sword swing, moving close, and her lightning-wrapped hands transformed into tiger shapes as she began striking specific points on its body.

[Celestial Meridian: Sixty-Four Severance]

Every living being has mana meridians—pathways that circulate mana between the core, organs, muscles, and brain. This technique strikes and seals sixty-four critical meridian nodes in rapid succession, cutting off mana and blood circulation.

First Cycle – First 8 strikes: Lightning imprints formed inside the demon's mana pathways. Its circulation became slightly unstable.

Second Cycle – 9 to 16 strikes: Lightning spread into secondary meridians. Mana flow started breaking apart, blood moved slower. The demon's muscles weakened. Its connection to its own hands faded, but Kaya didn't stop.

Third Cycle – 17th to 24th strikes: Lightning reached the nervous system. Motor signals started failing. The demon's eyes began to close.

Fourth Cycle – 25th to 32nd strikes: Lightning threads wrapped around the mana core and heart. Mana output became chaotic. Blood flow stopped.

Fifth Cycle – 33rd to 40th strikes: Blood poured from the demon's mouth. Anyone weaker than Kaya would already be dead.

Sixth Cycle – 41st to 48th palms: Lightning synchronized against the demon's life rhythm. Its own body started fighting itself. Organs desynchronized.

Seventh Cycle – 49th to 56th palms: Lightning locked the mana core in a false circulation loop. The core began consuming itself. The demon felt extreme internal pressure, its core screaming, all mana control lost. Permanent damage now.

Eighth Cycle – Final Cycle: 57th to 64th palms

The last palm gently landed on the demon's chest.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then all the lightning imprints detonated in sequence.

The nervous system, mana core, and organs shut down together.

No explosion, Nor external injury.

The demon simply fell over dead.

Kaya stood over it, completely drained.

This technique was meant for Silver Stage to Gold Stage cultivators in her clan.

Only those above Gold Stage could master it fully.

And it was useless against someone who could resist the strikes—someone like Austin, whose physical strength was so great the first hit would barely affect him.
