Chapter 470 - Chapter 470: Operation Purity, Commence!

At Orb's central command, Sumeragi and her staff nervously monitored battle maps displaying both terrestrial and cosmic operations. The entire command center held its breath, not daring to make even the slightest sound.

"First unit has reached designated coordinates. Enemy remains unaware."

"Second unit in position. No enemy detection."

"Third unit deployed successfully. No hostile contact."

...

Dozens of similar reports flooded in, all confirming safe arrivals without enemy detection. When the tactical maps showed all friendly green markers perfectly positioned, collective relief washed over the command staff.

"Phase One successful. Synchronizing chronometers - current Earth time 0657. Phase Two commences in three minutes."

"Roger." (Multiple voices)

The tense three-minute countdown passed swiftly.

"Operation Purity... begin!"

"Affirmative!" (Multiple voices)

Countless voices responded to Sumeragi's order, each laced with tension and anticipation. This long-awaited major offensive involved intricate tactical deployments, numerous objectives, and... enemies that absolutely had to be eliminated!

This joint operation between Orb and PLANT, with additional support from the East Asian Republic and Duan Halbaton's faction within the Atlantic Federation, targeted all LOGOS secret bases, research facilities, subsidiary organizations... and most crucially, the shadowy masterminds themselves.

Sumeragi served as both chief strategist and overall commander for this massive campaign. To prevent leaks, operational details had only been distributed to participating forces the previous night. Most soldiers learned of LOGOS' existence as death merchants only then - discovering that all conflicts and disputes stemmed from these rats lurking in the shadows!

Scandinavian Kingdom intelligence remained classified for now, as festum-related information would be too shocking for general dissemination. Consequently, Operation Purity excluded Scandinavian territories. Instead, Yang Hui had secretly redeployed Orb's main forces toward Europe under the pretext of preventing Eurasian Federation interference, while actually encircling the Scandinavian Kingdom to enforce complete quarantine - with lethal force authorized against any border violators.

In space, the Sword of the Heavens advanced alongside the Minerva, carrying the complete special operations roster: Yang Hui, Setsuna, Lyle, Tieria, Kira, Athrun, and Creuset - all deployed against the most dangerous target, Librarian Works' headquarters.

"Commander, we've reached the scheduled time."

"Target status?"

"Complete radio silence."

"... Launch assault. Full offensive."

"Roger!" (Multiple voices)

Librarian Works' headquarters, a repurposed asteroid fortress, now appeared clearly on optical scopes. Natarle Badgiruel found its total lack of reaction deeply unsettling - such passiveness when clearly within visual range defied all tactical logic.

In this situation, Natarle Badgiruel suspected it was a deliberate bait and trap left by the enemy, but Yang Hui had already issued the order for an all-out assault, leaving her no choice but to comply.

Moreover... she wasn't afraid of it being a trap. After all, with Yang Hui's capabilities, what trap couldn't be broken through sheer force?

The Dawn Gundam charged ahead, leading the Gundam Exia, Gundam Cherudim, Gundam Virtue, Freedom Gundam, Justice Gundam, and Providence Gundam straight toward the enemy fortress.

Speaking of the Providence Gundam, the original unit had been reduced to a "human stick" by the Dawn Gundam and was secretly recovered along with Creuset. After being repaired and enhanced by the Dawn Company, not only were all its internal systems and materials completely renewed, but its armaments were also significantly upgraded. It was equipped with a Quasi-GN Drive, and its Dragoon System was upgraded to GN Dragoons. The large disc on its back was removed and replaced with two smaller discs mounted on each shoulder, each carrying four large GN Dragoons (each equipped with nine beam cannons) and four small GN Dragoons (each equipped with two beam cannons). Additionally, the large GN Dragoons could focus their beams to function as beam sabers, capable of both slashing and thrusting.

When the GN Dragoons were detached, the discs could generate a GN Field to serve as shields.

Beyond the GN Dragoons on the two discs, the side skirt armor and rear-mounted GN Dragoons were also retained, giving the Providence Gundam a total of eight large and fourteen small GN Dragoons—a true firepower monster. This was only possible due to Creuset's exceptional spatial awareness, as no one besides Yang Hui could control so many floating units.

The rest of its armaments were relatively simpler. The MA-M221 heavy beam rifle was replaced with a standard beam rifle, while the MA-MV05A Composite Weapon Shield System (containing a large beam saber and two beam rifles) was retained, though the beam rifles were upgraded to beam submachine guns for better sweeping fire in large-scale battles. Finally, two MA-M02G "Super Scorpio" beam sabers were stored on the outer thighs.

It's worth noting that the Freedom Gundam and Justice Gundam had also been upgraded to the Strike Freedom Gundam and Infinite Justice Gundam, respectively, equipped with VPS Armor, Quasi-GN Drives, and GN Particles. The Strike Freedom Gundam's GN Dragoon System was expanded to twelve units, each carrying a single beam cannon. Its high-energy beam rifle lost its combined mode, instead allowing both rifles to switch between charged cannon fire or rapid-fire modes.

The Infinite Justice Gundam, aside from the same general upgrades, remained largely unchanged from its original version, though its high-energy beam rifles now featured the same multi-mode switching as the Strike Freedom's, and the "Destiny-01" system was enhanced for greater mobility and flexibility.

As for the Gundam Exia, Gundam Cherudim, and Gundam Virtue, all three were equipped with corresponding GN floating units—such as the Exia's six GN Funnel Swords, the Cherudim's eight sets of GN Funnel Rifles + magazines, and the Virtue's two GN heavy cannons + mechanical claws. These were actually weapons they had tested back in the Gundam 00 world, but the final battle had arrived too quickly, leaving them no time to fully familiarize themselves with the equipment. Now, they were finally being deployed in battle for the first time.

The Minerva, following closely behind, also ordered all MS units to launch. Among them were the Gaia Gundam, Abyss Gundam, and Chaos Gundam, piloted by Mayu, Rey, and Lunamaria respectively, along with Shinn's Impulse Gundam and six Zaku Phantoms from the same squad.

Originally, they had planned to rendezvous with the Dawn Gundam from the Sword of the Heavens and other units to act together. However, the performance gap was too vast—they simply couldn't keep up with the other side's speed. In the end, they had no choice but to accept Natarle Badgiruel's suggestion to focus on escorting the two warships.

Meanwhile, Yang Hui, who had charged ahead, quickly realized it was a trap. The moment he entered the designated zone, he activated Innovator Mode.

"Cease advance! Sword of the Heavens and Minerva, target coordinates S14 and G59—full barrage fire!"
