The sounds of the grandfather clock tick in a rhythm. Right now, it reads '8:59 PM'. Just one more minute before everyone goes to sleep.
Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
Tock…
The sound of the clock chimes in, Indicating that It's now officially 9 PM. Good. I begin to dress myself up for the night.
Can't forget to bring my knife. Pulling a drawer from the table in my room, I picked up my knife and quietly set off to meet Arcueid. I make my way through the hallways, the main floor, and the backdoor exit on the other side of the first floor. Successfully, I made it out of the mansion. Making my way to the gates I enter out and close the gate behind me.
The moon is bright out today surprisingly, being only a half-full moon today as I look upon the sky for a brief moment. Maybe in a couple of days, there'll be a full moon soon. Anyhow, I probably shouldn't make Arceuid wait any longer. Knowing her, she's an impatient person. Though I've said before now to only meet up at the spot about half an hour early Instead of fully waiting an entire day like last time. I hope she considered my words. I don't want another 'breaking-and-entering' incident again.
Walking through the main cities, he finally reaches his destination. I made it to the park just a few minutes early until ten. But, oddly enough, Arcueid was nowhere to be seen. I'm not sure why I found it weird. I mean, it didn't matter if she came a few minutes late. But… I still expected her to be here before me.
"Huh? Arcueid? Are you there?"
No response. Well, he got here a few minutes to kill. Not like she is late at the moment. I decided to find an open bench and sat down. I decided to check my phone to browse for any news that might catch my eye. Swiping on the latest news, I check the earliest entry of today.
"Huh?"
Something catches my eye. The title read "Unexplained Destruction of Two Buildings In Tokyo". Strange… I remember Arcueid making a mess of a complex, but only a single one. Looking further in for more details, It didn't have any worthy information about the incident. Just reciting things I've already known, minus the second building. I checked other news sites that reported the incident but to no avail. It wasn't good on the other sites either. Fortunately, though, no one was hurt reportedly, so that's a plus. I turned off my cell phone and let out a sigh.
I wonder… does Arcueid know anything about the second building? Maybe I—
"...You sure do sigh a lot, Shiki. "
"AAAHHH!!"
I suddenly hear a voice whispering in my left ear with a low tone of voice. It sent a shiver down my spine. It almost sounded like an apex predator tracking down and finally cornering their prey. Their breath brushed against my earlobe as they spoke, causing me to jump out from the bench to distance myself. I turned around and holstered my hand over my breast pocket. Ready to pull out my knife at any moment to defend myself until-
"Pfft…! Hahaha! Relax, Shiki!"
"A… Arcueid…!?"
Of course… It just HAD to be the airhead to pull a dumb prank like this on me. That vampire is seriously eating this like it's the funniest thing that ever happened in her life.
"Oh…! You should've seen your face, Shiki!" The vampiric woman continues to laugh.
She's really pissing me off. Especially with the threat of Roa of coming back still present within the city, Is it really the time to make crappy unfunny jokes? I slowly make my way to Arcueid. She's too busy in a laughing fit, then she isn't aware of her surroundings at all. I raised my hands up and touched her cheeks.
"Hahaha—... Ha?"
My actions caught Arcueid off guard. I'm directly face to face in front of her. I'm so close to her that our noses would be touching each other If I moved any further. I can see the reflection of myself in her beautiful eyes.
"...S-S… Shiki? " Her eyes widened as I then–
"O-O….Owww!!!" My hands have pinched her cheeks and forcefully. I'll admit, I feel quite relieved seeing this bonehead get a taste of her medicine. I couldn't help but grin at doing such a thing to her.
"S-Stop, Shiki…! Stopppp….!" Squinting her eyes, I can tell she isn't amused like she was a few seconds ago with eyebrows furrowing.
"Not if you apologize ."
"...Apolo-?" Before she could say anything, I pinched her cheeks even more.
"OWW-!!"
"What? Didn't sound like a 'sorry'. Could you repeat that?" Silence befell the vampire as she quietly grumbled about her uncomfortable state by my hands.
"..."
"..."
"...Sorry… for scaring you… and laughing… " Satisfied having extracted my given apology, I let go of her cheeks as she quickly rubbed her cheeks to attempt to soften them somehow. She pouts at me with an obvious sense of annoyance behind it.
"That was mean, Shiki! What if I would've done that to you!?"
"In my defence, you deserved it. That's what you get for pulling such a tactless joke on me. You ever thought I was actually scared at that moment?"
Arceuid couldn't help but roll her eyes, still keeping her pout at me. "Sheesh, you're no fun at all! You should lighten up. It's not like Roa has fully returned yet."
Seriously? This girl… I don't even have to explain how wrong that response is.
"As long as Roa still exists and poses a threat within the city, expect tasteless jokes with a payment of karma returned back at you in reply."
She could look at me with that annoyance on her face all she wants, I think it was justified in performing said action at her.
"That aside, Let's just start our vampire search."
"Huh? You're quick to change subjects after you just defile me like that, Shiki?" Said an unamused Arcueid.
"Stop acting like a drama queen. I didn't pinch you THAT hard."
"It's true though!" Arcueid flailed her arms in the air. "It really hurt!"
That hurts, but a flame from Vlov doesn't? Granted, she was in a weakened state at the time, she probably regained most of her powers by then. Still though…
"Fine, fine… I'm sorry for pinching you so hard."
My quick apology seemed to be enough for her. She's stopped flailing her arms around and looks calm now. Though, I get the feeling she's still holding some grudge against me right now and hasn't let go yet.
"Well… I suppose that's sufficient enough." Looks like she's turning on her serious mode now.
"I guess we should start our business now, shall we? Right now, I don't have any leads right now that I was able to find. So, we'll just be walking around the city finding any undead. With your eyes, you should be able to tell by a glance who's alive or not." Arcueid lets out her usual smile at me.
"It'll be tough from here. Think you're up for it, Shiki?"
"..."
Arcueid is asking me to take off my glasses. Just taking them off makes me feel nauseous, even when nobody is around me. Navigating around the city without them is sure as hell going to put a strain and it's going to be worse. But Arcueid is asking me whether or not I'm up for it. I can't say no when she's looking at me like that, how can anyone say otherwise?
"Of course, I'm up for it… we're partners after all. That's what It means to work together, right?"
"Yeah. I'll be counting on you then, partner."
She twirls around as her back faces me. That looks like it's my cue to follow her. She begins walking for a few seconds until abruptly stopping to look at me.
"Oh. Shiki, by any chance in our search, if your use of your eyes starts to become too unbearable, please be sure to put your glasses on right away. Your eyes are very special, so you should be careful with them after all."
With that, Arcueid leads the charge as we set off into the night. The moment I'm committed to taking off my glasses, I feel pumped up strangely that boils within me. Perhaps today I'm feeling pretty enthusiastic about doing some good in the city. Arcueid said that we'll start off at the shopping district and go from there. I'll have to take out and dismember as many vampires as I can.
Unfortunately, despite my eagerness, I end up with nothing to show for it.
We went to the shopping district, afterwards hitting up the alleyway, business district, and abandoned old site of a factory. But… our search turned up for nothing as we couldn't even find a single sight or trance of the Dead. With Roa gone for the moment, they must be on high alert. They've held themselves up in their chambers, to the ones still walking out there, In fear of Arcueid. This also means none of us would most likely find any of them as a result.
But they can't hide forever. Eventually, sooner or later, they'll have to come out and snack out in order to keep themselves stable without turning into a corpse. All living things have to take risks in order to survive, including all of us. This is a battle of endurance. Seeing which party would give up first In order to safely walk out with no worry of someone trying to search and kill them. It's probably not the most riveting climactic battle to go down in history, but I'd rather take that than have casualties involved.
But… not all is bad. Despite the lack of results, I had fun patrolling with Arcueid. The talkative vampire would always bring up topics to converse while we walked around. It's quite random, to be honest in terms of the topics we discussed. Like… 'What's your favourite food?', 'What are your favourite sights In the city?', a bunch of variety topics. I have to say, I forget that Arcueid is like an eight-hundred-year-old vampire sometimes. Some of the things she brought up only used to exist way decades ago before I was born. Either I'd have to tell her that we humans abandoned or evolved on the things we used as best I can. I'm not the most knowledgeable on every single thing that exists on earth, but I'd say that I'm at least confident enough to know the basics of current things that are within our interests.
Finally, we made our way back to the park. I'd be lying if I didn't get headaches after having my eyes exposed for an amount of time without my glasses. It hasn't gotten too bad, but it certainly was an annoyance. Without thinking, I go to one of the open benches and sit down.
"Man… What a waste. I got worked up for nothing."
I give my lingering headache to subside. With each breath of wind of the night, it feels like the pain in my head gets a little better as the cool air cures me. Thanks to that, my dizziness and nausea are able to withdraw itself slowly, albeit slowly.
"Agreed. Still, I had fun despite it all. You spent the whole time complaining like always, but I didn't mind."
Arcueid's smile seemed more radiant to me than usual. I'm not sure if it's just me, but she seems really happy.
"After all, I did a bunch of pointless things with Shiki. On the other hand, I'm glad the Dead Apostles didn't spoil the mood. I'd hate for one to show up at any moment of time since I had fun talking to you."
I'm glad she's having fun at least. After taking my seat, she's pacing circles around in front of me. Honestly, what is she doing anyway…? She's like a princess who's been confined in a big tower, finally touching the solid ground outside that she's always dreamed of exploring the things outside her quarters. I was going to say some snide comment at such a sight, but I couldn't bring myself to do so. In fact, why on earth would I even think of doing so? My eyes glued to Arcueid, as she continued to pace around, like she was dancing.
I'd hate to admit it…
If what I feel for Senpai is a deep affection for her, then what I feel for Arcueid is something akin to love. Certainly not in a romantic sense, but in a significant matter. My breaths are being taken away by Arcueid, just as much as Senpai. I thought I was only feeling guilty by the fact of killing her initially, but it's nothing more than a hollow-sounding excuse to me. I'm so foolish… I've said and want to help Senpai. I promised her earlier in the daytime I wouldn't do anything dangerous. My actions here have already broken the vow I made to Senpai. I'm yearning for a vampire— her enemy.
I must've gone crazy then at this point…
My rational side is telling me that I should keep my distance from her. But my instinctual level has been thrown out the window, I've been completely entranced by the beauty that is standing right in front of me—
The sudden image of Arcueid dismembered on that day flashes in my mind.
...
Right… such a feeling drove me mad with lust and ended up committing a despicable gruesome act.
"..." I shake those images away, trying to damn them into the pits of hell from my memories.
My nausea returns back, but I ironically welcome it back, as it helps me calm down. I feel reminded that I don't deserve to spend time with Arcueid like this. I'm just a psychopath. I don't want my thoughts to linger on them any longer than I am currently. I think I'll speak to Arcueid to keep my mind occupied.
"Hey, Arcueid… you seemed to be in high spirits, but are you feeling okay? You were sneezing yesterday, you didn't catch a cold by any chance, right?
The vampire stopped in her tracks and turned to me. Her burrows raised and arched at my question.
"A cold, you'd say? Do you mean like a fever caused by a weak immune system? There's no way I'd catch something like that. We vampires are built differently from you humans."Arcueid takes a few steps close to me. "Why do you want to know anyway?" For a second, her mouth opened in awe briefly, before smiling again suspiciously giving off a teasing energy.
"Don't tell me… you're worried about me?" The vampiric lady closes the distance between us and peers into my face, leaning over to me. I'm not sure why… the question posed to me got me feeling flustered for whatever reason.
"I–I didn't mean–... It's not like that. I was just wondering whether the wounds I gave you, have fully healed or not." Yeah.. nice excuse, me.
Her mere proximity and her feminine scent are almost enough to send me off the rails by how close we are. I look away in a desperate attempt to hide my flushed face. I felt Arcueid's presence distance herself away as I looked back to see her no longer up in my face and while maintaining her close space to me.
"What happened yesterday is something else. I guess it probably had to do with the fact I was altering the way my body operates. I try my best to make myself look more human when I'm not in battle, you see."
"Huh?" I couldn't help, but express my confusion at her response. "Why would you try to make yourself more human?"
Arcueid puts her finger on her lip, tilting her head and acting innocently. "Hmm… why indeed?" She laughs, skipping away from me again. She's like a fluttering beautiful butterfly, each time I look I'm always amazed looking at her.
"Shiki, Can I borrow your jacket for a second?"
Arcueid has suddenly asked me to borrow my jacket. I'm not sure why she wants it.
"Hmm…? Why?"
"Just cus!" 'Just cus'? That's her only reason? Well, It's not like my jacket holds any importance to me. I'd taken off my jacket briefly since it was getting sweaty for me while we patrolled the streets a moment ago. The weather today has been pretty decent. Despite it being autumn right now, it feels like it's spring. A good balance, for the perfect temperature.
"Sure, I suppose." With no reason to not hand it over, I got up from the bench and gave it to her.
"Thanks!" As she puts it on, she starts to admire the clothing that's new on her body. Dancing around, and posing in front of me to see. "What do you think? I look cute in this, don't I?"
I'd be lying to myself that she didn't look incredibly attractive with my jacket. Heck… She's admiring the jacket more than anything else from the looks of it. The jacket on her is a bit oversized, her hands being half-covered by cuffs on it, the bottom of the jacket hiding most of her blue skirt. The black and white colour scheme fits her outfit, complimenting them like it was a natural fit for them. She twists around to see the back of the jacket, appreciating the fabric and materials made from it.
My mind wanders off a bit, thinking of what Arcueid said about not being able to get sick. While she didn't really elaborate on why she tries to make her body more human-like, I guess it explains why she sneezed yesterday. Perhaps from that, she'd be exposed to the weather like any other human or animal. Though this is only guessing by going off on what Arcueid said, so I'm not sure how much of that is true. "Well… I guess there is no way you'd catch a cold. Senpai Also said it's impossible for vampires to catch one."
I can't help but shake the dangerous feeling of her going through pointless lengths to become human. It seemed… weird to me. I'm not sure why. But… if she's recovering well, who's to say there's any problems with it?
Relieved I—
"By 'Senpai', you mean that woman?"
"Eh?" Snapped out from my train of thought, I saw Arcueid scowling right in front of me. Even WAY closer than it was earlier. I backed up to regain my composure after suddenly being shaken like that.
"W-What's gotten into you so suddenly? What do you mean by 'that woman'?
Arcueid points at me, looking offended to ask such a question directed to her. "Don't play dumb with me, you know exactly who I'm talking about! The one you fought Vlov with! I knew it, she's been trailing after you all day hasn't she!?"
"W-Well…" I dare not to admit that I'm the one who was actually trailing after her the whole day. I cleared my throat as I continued to talk.
"Well, you know, she taught me a bunch of stuff about vampires. Come on, what's the harm of that? You're both doing the same thing, aren't you? With Roa defeated, there's no reason for you to be at each other's throats, right?
"I don't care, Shiki! There's no reason or way we could team up!" Arcueid Reaffirms her stance on it.
"Look, It doesn't matter whether you're a Dead Apostle or a True Ancestor, if you're a vampire, you will be killed by the Executors! Do I need to tell you again how insidious those people are, idiot!?" Man, she's more pissed than anything about the Executors…
"I know, I know. They're like a religious group of hunters created to hunt down solely vampires, right? It's also the reason why Dead Apostles act discreetly because they are terrified of being discovered by them. They're a vampire's natural enemy. Patrolling the streets at night time is Senpai's job too."
Wait… what does that make Arcueid, if she's exterminating vampires as well?
"Arcueid… What does that make you? Aren't you a traitor to the vampire world by all accounts?"
Arcueid puts her hands on her hips as they show a grimace expression. It didn't feel like she was angry at me. Rather, annoyed by the topic at hand we're discussing.
"I guess so. I'm more like a wrath of god to the vampires, I would say." Arcueid clicks her tongue. "Ugh, whatever. Most Executors are just a bunch of insects. I don't care what they do for all I care, but she's an exception."
Even the mere thought of Ciel makes Arcueid even more annoyed. She's actively trying not to refer to Senpai's name whatsoever. What a sticky situation I got myself into. I knew they didn't get along, but I had no idea it was… this bad.
"—Well, Shiki? What do YOU think?"
"What?"
Arcueid crosses her arms together her expression hardening itself. "I'm asking what do you think of her. I don't mind what you do Shiki, so long as it isn't with her involved. If you start developing feelings for that girl, I won't forgive you."
Whoa, slow down there… I can feel her eyes shooting daggers at me right now! If I say anything wrong to her right now, she'll really kill me!
"W-What do you mean you won't forgive me? Just relax for a second will you?"
Arceuid's forehead furrowed more by my suggestion. Not good… Just telling her to relax is making her more pissed! I have no choice but to march on what I'd said…
"Senpai Is just an upperclassman at school. She's always helping me out and even helped me fight Vlov, not to mention saving me in the process when I was against him. I'm sure you'd even take a liking to her if you tried having a conversation-"
"Absolutely. Not. " Arcueid's eyes suddenly become nothing more than 'dead' within them. I can feel the venom bubbling in her throat. Acting as If I said the most foolish thing anyone had spoken from their mouth.
"…uh…" Crap…! She's gotten even more furious with that glare, now!
"She must be masquerading, Shiki. Every single member of the Burial Agency is nothing more than a homicidal, battle-hungry maniacs. They'll get you, the first minute at the first opportunity that arises."
" Think about it…" Her voice seems to calm down just a bit, even if there's still seeping hatred spewing out. "Did you even know who she was from the start? Or was she toying with you by putting up a persona of a normal person like she always does?"
"I..."
...
…I can't deny that she hid her true identity from me, that much is certain. But she can't reveal her identity, she has no choice. In order to protect people from vampires, she has to hide the existence of them. Her prey are able to pretend they're human so she can't just tip off the fact she's an Executor without any risks involved. She'd practically be tipping them off, being the thing that Dead Apostles fear the most. With the knowledge I have about Ciel-senpai, she still is someone I think of as an upperclassman of mine. I enjoyed hanging out with her at lunch, goofing with her and Arihiko, drinking tea with her and passing the time.
In fact— I kind of wish I never discovered her identity because I had so much fun with Senpai…
"Hmph… I see…" Arcueid's face twisted in expression. "Shiki. Whose side are you on?"
That question oozes with no hostility and signs of being abhorrent. I guess there's no way around it, is there? Ciel-senpai Is Arcueid's sworn enemy. That's why she's looking at me with those narrowed eyes of hers. The moment I take the enemy's side, I as well become her enemy.
"I'm sure you'd never make the mistake of taking her side, but you need to break things off with her. Hell , I'll be nice and let you talk to her, just keep your distance from her. If I see you acting all buddy-buddy with her, I'll kill you. "
"..."
I'm truly at a loss for words. As far as I'm concerned… thinking back on that rainy night. After I killed Arcueid and selfishly wanted death, she found me and slapped some sense back at me…She saved my life…"
"I saved your life too, y'know? In fact, plenty of times."
...
I think back to the fight against Vlov… the gallant armour she wore, how she fought alone in such a hellish blizzard, always making selfless choices knowing she wouldn't be rewarded for it.
"She saved the city…"
"Uh, hello? Who was the one that protected the city from becoming completely frozen?"
…What the?...
...
I think back to the way she looked and smiled at me at the curry shop. She told me it was okay to be afraid. That, doing such dangerous things while knowing and being scared—
"I could treat you to food anytime, too."
OH COME ON!
"CAN YOU SHUT UP FOR ONE SECOND, YOU DUMB VAMPIRE!"
Arcueid's eyes widened in surprise.
Wait a second… how does she know what I'm thinking!?
"Hey! How did you know I was going to talk about lunch!? Have you finally used your powers to read my mind!?"
"Hey…" Arcueid's mouth frowns, completely losing her once-angry attitude towards me. "I-I didn't use anything, you were just mumbling something about going to a curry shop together…"
"Oh… "
…In other words, I've been thinking out loud this whole time. Looking at Arcueid again, I feel a little bad for yelling at her so abruptly.
"W-Wha—Hey!" Arcueid glowered suddenly. "You can't just wessel yourself out of this! You haven't given me a straight answer, yet! And don't go off by going on some cool monologue, It's not a valid excuse!"
...
Nevermind. I take back what I said.
"The hell you mean 'cool monologue'!? I'd give you an answer already by now if you didn't keep interrupting me!"
Arcueid's eyebrows lifted upward in shock, following suit with her eyes widening, before going back looking angrily contorted again.
"I-Is that so? Then by all means! Tell me!" What's up with her acting all embarrassed now?
"Good grief…"
I took a moment to inhale and exhale air out from my nostrils and mouth slowly.
"Look, Senpai is someone that I personally like. If not for her, I wouldn't be standing here alive right now. But…"
The vampire's right burrow lifted anticipating a response. "But…?"
"Liking someone and respecting someone are two different things. If—" ...Yeah… I can't deny them. "...Since you're forcing me, if I had to choose, It would definitely be you by a large margin. No questions asked."
I turn my attention away from the vampire, I know that I've just said that out loud, but I can't deny my feelings. She doesn't know, but just her presence tonight was enough to make the pain in my eyes bearable. When I'm with her, I feel like I'm allowed to be myself when I'm with her. I can actually relax. I can't describe why, but that's how I feel. But right now, I may be a bit too relaxed. I have to actively stop myself from embracing or touching her for the matter.
…Basically… what I feel is similar to the lust you'd feel towards a 'lover'… Is the best way I can describe it...
I turn my eyes back at Arcueid… something seems wrong. She's hunched over now and quivering violently. "Arcueid…?"
Uh oh… did I say something wrong to her?
"Mmmm—! Ahhhh! " Arcueid thrusts both of her hands up in the air.
"Wh-What's wrong!?" The hell? She's… squealing??
Suddenly, she then bomb-rushes towards me with her whole face lit up. Once again, closing any distance between us. I can see the full detail overly-happy expression on her. If she had cat ears, it would be fluttering quickly.
"Alright! I still detest her, but after hearing you say that, I think I can let her be! I feel my emotions are going all over the place, so I'm heading home now!"
Arcueid turns around before starting to run off to her place. I can't say that I'm lying when I feel a little disappointed that our conversation ended so abruptly like that. But… am I forgetting— shit! My jacket!
"Hey! You're leaving just like that!? Are we going to meet up here tomorrow?"
She stops to smile brightly at me. "Definitely! I'll be waiting here tomorrow, and I'll be cuter than ever, by a large margin! Just like you said!" Arcueid waves back at me excitedly before leaping out of the park.
"Hey, wait! What about my—!" Jacket. I get the feeling she has already left before I can ask her about returning my jacket. Maybe I should've asked for it first before she ran off. Oh well.
"Cuter than ever…?" How can you be cute, when you are already gorgeous?
...
Yeah, like I'd ever say that to her out loud…
...…
...Damn it… why am I blushing so hard!? I tried covering my cheeks with my hand and even THAT didn't help me!
Whatever, I need to get back to the mansion. I haven't looked at the time, but it's probably midnight by now. I should walk back now while I still have the energy to do so.
She watches Shiki reaching his destination and returning home from a distance on one of the many street poles. Ciel's Glad that her underclassman was safe. However, to say she wasn't angry is an understatement. He promised to not involve himself with anything dangerous, yet he has broken that promise.
"He's definitely getting an earful from me later at school…" The gall of that man… Ciel should've expected this to happen. From her time knowing him, Shiki is a stubborn individual from her observations. You tell them not to do something, chances are, they'll do the thing you don't want them doing. How many times does she need to repeat herself? Maybe she should really bat those thoughts in his thick head.
Honestly, the Executor wasn't angry at the fact the promise he agreed to. She was angry about the fact he was putting himself in danger, especially with that woman. That vampire is unpredictable, she's too dangerous to let an innocent around her.
"Ughh…!" Ciel's annoyance seeps out from her usual calm demeanour. "I should punch this idiot." Regardless, she can't keep moulting over this situation. Her search Is finished for the day. She needs to head back and conclude her investigation.
Wrapping up her nightly patrol, she swiftly makes her leave. She needs to keep an eye on Arcueid and Shiki, In case that blood-sucking thing tries to put any moves on him.
For whatever reason, the feeling of jealousy remains in Ciel, still. She wasn't sure why, but she didn't like seeing those two together.
"Shiki…"
Shiki…!"
"Shikkkki!!"
She felt like her heart was about to burst from emotions. Arcueid didn't care about it. She was in a great mood, that's what matters, right? Soaring through the sky, from building to building, she proclaims her affection for Shiki out loud until reaching her apartment.
After making her way to her residence, kicking off her boots, she let herself in and flopped on the bed. She tried to calm herself down when she reached her home, but that all seemed to fail as she couldn't stop thinking about the young man. Not long after she was already face-flat onto her bed, as Arcueid repeated his name more and more. If she doesn't stop now, she'll lose her mind at this point.
'No… Calm yourself, Arcueid…'
'Why was she thinking of him this way?' She ponders such a thought in her current hyperactive state. When she thinks back at him, It's a collection of lust and attraction towards him. Never in years did she feel this way to anyone in Arcueid's lonely years of living until now. She yearned for him. She wanted him. That, however, confused her even more in frustration on why she does. The vampire woman doesn't know the word to describe the emotion, going through her mind and heart.
Somewhat calm now, Arcueid lifts up her head from the bed. Looking at her hand that's been spread out onto the mattress, she realizes that Shiki's Jacket is still on her. She should return it tomorrow. It's too late to return it at the moment.
"But..." She mutters to herself. Arcueid's eyes gleamed at the jacket's cuffs, drooping her eyes softly, looking at the sleeve of the jacket visible in her perspective. Staring briefly at it for a few moments. Arcueid puts her nose on the sleeve and sniffs it. Amongst the jacket's artificial smell was Shiki's scent underneath it all. 'Shiki…' She inhales the scent of the clothing before exhaling…
"...Sh–iki~"
The vampiric woman can slowly start to feel her body heating up once again. It was just like yesterday. But now, she believes what that heat is. She takes off the jacket and lays it flat. She looked at it contemplating. Thinking of such a thought has now given her a flushed face now. Her now apparent lustful urges are screaming at her. Telling her to do it. Let it loose. You deserved it.
"Ah…"
Arcueid's hands slither slowly from her upper torso, down to her hips and waist. She slid her thumbs in between her skirt, undressing it down smoothly with no longer feeling the skirt anymore. Again, she starts sniffing Shiki's jacket, gathering the intoxicating scent that is Shiki.
She needs more.
"I need more…"
She sniffs the jacket again.
More.
She sniffs it again, and again, and again. Without realizing herself, she began sliding her hand down to her groin. Her hand reaches further until she reaches her spot.
"...There~"
