Kailen waited.
Very soon, a figure made an appearance.
The technician.
She floated calmly in the void, staring at Kailen Darkhaven.
She had a carefree smile on her face as she stared at Kailen.
As she expected, there was a mix of believable calm and nervousness on his face, an indication that he had accepted his fate.
"It's a pity we are both not on the same side. You'd have made a pretty good disciple. But…" She shrugged. "This is just the way things are. Oh, do you like my outfit?"
Kailen's expression was calm, yet the fear in his eyes was undeniable.
She sighed. "Looks like you are not in the mood for chit chat."
She transformed into her actual form, and floated calmly towards him.
Then, Kailen sped off in obvious panic.
He was trying to flee.
She scoffed.
It was fear at work. It was normal for his survival instincts to kick in.
Her figure whizzed through the void, narrowly evading an asteroid floating calmly in space.
