Konoha's teaching methods have always been problematic.
Just look at Naruto. Was Naruto stupid? Alright, he certainly wasn't smart, but he wasn't exactly 'rotten wood that cannot be carved' either. It was said that the Nine-Tails interfered with his ninjutsu training, but was there interference in his cultural studies as well? He studied extremely hard, yet he simply couldn't master those theoretical concepts that seemed like cryptic celestial scripts.
If one Naruto couldn't learn, it was his own problem. But if a whole bunch of people couldn't learn, then it was a problem with the school and the system.
Ino had been battered by exam-oriented education for years. Even she found it a bit overwhelming when she attended the Ninja School back in the day, having to spend time after getting home to find Genin from her clan to give her remedial lessons.
Sakura had no family assistance whatsoever. Astronomy, geography, physics, chemistry, plus ninjutsu—all mashed together into a single subject. To be able to learn to that extent through sheer brute force... she was absolutely a genius.
Iruka had approached the village advisors and Shikamaru, the strategist, but the higher-ups didn't have any good solutions either. He could only come to the Hokage.
He reported earnestly, "We established an experimental class and used new textbooks for teaching, but after testing the results, we found the degree of improvement to be very limited."
Ino said, "Let me see your new textbooks."
Aburame Shino immediately took out a tall stack of books.
Someone was greatly startled. "Shino? When did you get here?"
Aburame Shino: "..."
"I was here when you were teasing the children just now! I even shouted 'Lady Hokage' at you."
Realizing she had caused a misunderstanding, Ino hurriedly apologized, "Sorry, sorry, there's something a bit wrong with my eyes."
Shino sighed softly. His clan's hidden bloodline limit was just like this; he was used to it.
Ino flipped through the new textbooks. Generally speaking, the compilers had put in a lot of effort, removing all the obscure, difficult-to-understand, or out-of-syllabus content from before. She felt that if she had studied this set of textbooks back then, it would have been very easy, but it still wasn't scientific enough.
"There's another set of textbooks, right? Show me that set too."
Shino took out another pile of textbooks, and she flipped through them quickly.
The full name of the Konoha School was "Konoha Ninja School." This was an outstanding measure taken by the Second Hokage to break the ninja clans' monopoly on ninjutsu while simultaneously cultivating more civilian ninja. In that era, it could be called a massive progression. The school's enrollment criteria were very clear: one had to be a ninja.
After Ino became Hokage, she made improvements. To step out from their mother planet, they couldn't rely solely on ninjutsu. Would you throw a shuriken when facing Frieza?
Outside of the Ninjutsu Class, she established a Normal Class. This class specifically taught students without ninja talent, and the curriculum here was very similar to a regular school.
She didn't know if doing this was right or not. Anyway, she'd just give it a try—crossing the river by feeling the stones!
She flipped through the Normal Class textbooks and found that after removing the ninjutsu content, they already looked a bit like the ones from her previous life, though the subject division was still very rough.
She thought for a moment. She happened to need to take her two daughters out to play, so she would handle both matters together.
She said, "How about this? I happen to have time today. You guys pack up, and I'll take you out to fetch some scriptures."
Ino openly and brazenly skipped work. Taking the three of them and her own two daughters, she arrived on Earth to study the advanced experience in teaching there.
Iruka completely hadn't expected that in just these few short seconds, he would cross countless light-years and arrive at another planet.
The appearance of Earthlings wasn't much different from the people of the Blue Planet, but compared to the expressions full of vigilance found on everyone in the ninja village, the people here had obviously been at peace for a long time.
Ino took the group directly to West City to find Bulma.
She and Bulma weren't exactly close, but they knew each other.
Since it was just helping to introduce a school and exchanging some insights and ideas on education with school teachers, Bulma agreed very readily.
"Where is Yamcha?" Ino looked left and right but didn't see the Tea God's figure.
Bulma sighed heavily. "We broke up. That guy goes around flirting with flowers and messing with grass everywhere! He has no manly spirit at all!"
Ino smacked her lips. It was a bit hard to respond to that.
The Tea God, facing his richest-woman girlfriend, must have been under immense pressure. With the pressure reaching its limit, a breakup between the two wasn't unexpected.
"By the way, Chichi also seems to want to take her family's Gohan to the school to enroll as a visiting student. Shall I pick them up so we can go together?" Bulma asked.
Ino was very casual about it. "Sure, you just arrange it."
The place they were going to wasn't Orange Star High School, but rather the affiliated primary school of Orange Star High School.
Bulma looked at Ino, Iruka, Ebisu, Shino, Himawari, and Kale. "One, two, three, four, five... a total of five people..."
Just as they were setting off, she realized she had missed counting one person. She apologized repeatedly, stating that she must have been driven crazy by Yamcha's infidelity!
Bulma's maglev car was very fast.
They left West City and headed toward Mount Paozu.
The wilderness on Earth was just like a primeval forest, with dense trees and massive dinosaurs visible from time to time.
The few from the ninja village appeared very calm. Ebisu, who now served as the family tutor for Ino's household in addition to his position at the school, was responsible for teaching Little Himawari and Little Kale their cultural lessons.
He said with full gusto, "Two little adults, do not worry. With Ebisu here, you will not be in any danger!"
Little Himawari glanced at him with half-closed eyes. I'm not scared at all. I just think that dinosaur that ran past just now might not taste very good.
Little Kale guessed her thoughts, covered her mouth, and giggled.
Bulma's car was very spacious.
Ino sat in the front passenger seat, letting the two children sit on her lap, while the three good men sat in the back row.
She felt that the maglev car was quite good. When the time came, she would get a few to display in the village. As soon as Whis arrived—look, we've all entered the maglev era! Ox carts? Non-existent. Konoha is a civilized village; if you disagree, come debate!
She discussed with Bulma and prepared to purchase ten vehicles to keep up appearances.
Since it was official business, there was no need to rely on personal friendship. She would use the village's gold and silver to pay the bill. Bulma felt there was no issue and agreed immediately.
She also asked about amusement parks on Earth. Bulma rattled off several recommendations. The two little girls listened with eyes shining, their breathing becoming a bit rapid.
"Huh?" Ino's peripheral vision caught a blue figure. She looked over abruptly and saw Vegeta standing alone on a mountain peak, standing perfectly straight, like a stone.
The wind and sand had covered his feet, and bean-sized beads of sweat dripped from his cheeks from time to time, but the Saiyan Prince remained motionless, standing stiffly like a javelin.
Ino pointed with her chin. "What is that guy doing? Practicing endurance?"
Bulma's tone was quite complex. "That is a fool... a proud fool. I can't understand his thoughts anyway. I heard he was a bad guy before?"
She lowered her voice for the last sentence.
