Chapter 807 - Chapter 807: Pikkon's New Job

Pikkon was a martial artist. After being defeated by Bardock, he had dedicated himself to arduous training, paying little attention to outside affairs. The West Kai was typical of those who look forward when they need people and backward when they don't; as merely a runner-up of a Martial Arts Tournament, Pikkon held no value in his eyes, so the West Kai hadn't included Pikkon in his inner circle at all.

Now, as soon as Pikkon emerged from his seclusion—huh? The leadership had changed? The new leader wanted to see him?

He had no idea what Ino wanted with him.

Regardless of the reason, since the leader had summoned him, he certainly had to go. Without much delay, he hurriedly rushed to West Kai's Planet.

When he found his way there, he discovered Ino hard at work.

With that deadweight Lord Slug finally killed off, the average Civilization Index of the Namekian race had finally risen to the expected high point.

In order to advertise to the other multiverses and show that the Seventh Universe also had civilized people, Ino had called over several representative figures from Planet Namek—Grand Elder Moori, the guardian Nail, and others—to shoot a promotional short film.

Among them, Nail was the key focus of the promotion. There was no helping it; the rest of the Namekians were either too old or too young, or otherwise too fat or too thin. As the only combat-type Namekian, Nail had the best personal image. His height and temperament were both quite good, and with a battle power of 42,000, he was considered an expert anywhere in the universe.

"Hah!" Nail tore off the long shirt on his body in one go. His eyes were focused, his center of gravity lowered, and he assumed an attack stance, staring at the empty air directly in front of him.

Several little ghosts from the Underworld held cameras, snapping away with a flurry of click-click-click sounds. Ino looked at the effect of the photos and nodded to the surrounding staff. "Get him another piece of clothing, change the angle, and shoot another round."

"Hah!" Nail once again tore off the long shirt he had just put on. His body erupted with aura, his muscles knotted and bulging, his face full of determination.

"Two more shots."

Rip! Another long shirt was torn to shreds.

"Perfect. This time let's shoot in the air and see how it looks."

Rip! Who knew how many long shirts had been torn to pieces by now.

Ino sat behind the camera, applauding vigorously. "Good, good, good! Truly excellent! As expected of a hero of Planet Namek. Next, let's shoot a short clip. Here's the plan: I will disguise myself as Frieza. You, prepare two lines of dialogue. I'll sneer over here, and then you act extremely indignant and launch an attack directly at me. Understood? Okay, let's run through it once. Attention, do not look at the lens."

A certain someone frequently transformed into Frieza to go out and cause trouble, so her Transformation Technique was vivid and lifelike. Nail almost thought Frieza had actually appeared, and a wave of tension involuntarily rose in his expression.

"Good! That feeling of tension, yet having no choice but to fight, is excellent! Hold that!"

Half an hour later, Ino instructed them to continue filming while she went alone to meet Pikkon.

She spoke vaguely: "Due to some physical reasons, the West Kai needs to recuperate for a while. During this period, I will be acting as agent for West Galaxy affairs."

In reality, the West Kai wasn't resting at all; at this very moment, he was waiting to see her make a fool of herself. After the "Planet Begging" operation, the Grand Kai had reverted to that "rarely confused" style of office management—he neither said Ino could act as agent, nor did he say she couldn't manage things. She didn't care about that set of rules; she was someone who just loved to work, so nobody better stop her! Occupying someone else's King Kai's Planet, she hung up a sign reading "Office of Spiritual Civilization Construction" and proceeded to find work for herself.

How could Pikkon know about all these twists and turns? He looked completely bewildered. "Then, Lord Kai has sought me out to...?"

This address of "Lord Kai" made Ino very happy; she just loved being an official...

She cleared her throat. "It's like this. Big villains like Frieza and Lord Slug have been dealt with, but I've discovered that within the scope of the West Galaxy, there are still many evil forces entrenched. They greatly affect the safety of intelligent life in the West Galaxy and run contrary to the Grand Kai's purpose of establishing a civilized universe... I need you, in the name of the Office of Spiritual Civilization Construction, to eliminate all these evil fellows."

She rattled on with a whole heap of words, making Pikkon dizzy, as if he had been hit by skills like "War Stomp" or "Kidney Shot" during battle. Fortunately, he understood the last half-sentence.

Oh, you want me to go kill people? He was a bit resistant to this matter.

"Lord Kai, I am already dead. I returned to the Living World once before, but now I'm afraid..."

Dead people could be directly summoned back to the Living World via spirit medium, but there was a 24-hour limit. They had to return within the time frame, otherwise, having their soul scattered would be getting off lightly. As a boss of the Underworld, Ino naturally knew this restriction.

"I know, so I want you to aim your targets at the Underworld."

"The Underworld?"

"Correct. The King Yama judgment mechanisms in many places are too perfunctory and sloppy. Many bad people haven't received punishment; instead, due to certain reasons, they've obtained the right to use a body in the Underworld. Your duty is to find these guys and wipe them all out. A universe without bad people is a civilized universe."

The Underworld was also part of the Seventh Universe. As long as these guys remained, they would continue to deduct points from the Seventh Universe's average Civilization Index. Ino had previously assigned Bardock to do this, but regrettably, Saiyan brains were too simple. Fighting and demolishing houses were no problem, but asking them to peel back the layers of a cocoon, see through certain people's disguises, and then quietly eliminate them? That was very difficult.

Pikkon possessed an intuition similar to that of a martial artist, which could be perfectly used to screen those bad people hiding in various parts of the underworld.

Ino knew he was hesitating, so she handed over a list.

"Tidal Five-Color Stone... Heart-Etching Sand... Tree vines of Planet Medusa..."

Pikkon took two looks and was greatly startled. He had only heard the names of many of these things but had never seen the actual objects. However, several of them were important materials for his martial arts cultivation. In his previous life, he had gone through hardships and dangers, killing until heads rolled, just to obtain maybe one or two grams. Now, here with the new Kai, they could be exchanged by the jin.

This was too filthy rich!

"Lord Kai, this is..."

What else could it be? Of course, these were the materials the West Supreme Kai had prepared for resurrection. They were all good things; let alone Pikkon, even Ino hadn't seen many of them before. She still had three similar lists in her hand. Putting on the airs of a big shot, she nodded lightly. "Just a few items from my personal collection."

Pikkon only thought for two seconds before accepting her mission. Many of the materials were indeed too precious; if he missed this village, there wouldn't be another shop. Wasn't it just killing people? He didn't like killing people in life or in death, and he didn't even like using coarse language, but that didn't mean he wouldn't kill people. If there was a need—add money... then killing was acceptable.

There was no helping it; Ino simply gave too much!

There was nothing to hesitate about. Go kill now! After killing, come back to exchange for precious resources and cultivate martial arts.

Killing living people counts as killing, but killing dead people—does that even count as killing?

Ino tossed a recording crystal to him, and the genius martial artist nodded heavily.

Sending Pikkon off, she returned to the studio to continue watching the Namekian short film shoot.
